    Named after St. Thomas More.
On the 9th July 1963 the Church of St. Thomas More was blessed and opened. Twenty year's later on 10th July 1983 Archbishop Cormac (then bishop of Arundel and Brighton) consecrated the church of St. Thomas More's for its purpose as a "house of prayer in which you bless your family as we come to you on pilgrimage".

    ''Thank you', Mgr John
During the diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes, Bishop Kieran presented Mrg John Hull with a 'thank you' gift in appreciation of all he had done as Administrator of the diocese since Cardinal Cormac was appointed to Westminster.
The gift was a stone sculpture of the Holy Family produced by a monastery of Contemplative Order known as the Religious of Bethlehem and the Assumption of Our Lady who follow the rule of St Bruno.

    St. Joshep's Roman Catholic Church
St. Joseph's was finally completed in 1906, but it was not until 1931 that it became an independent parish. On the alter the tabernacle is mounted on a stand with a picture of a pelican underneath. "The pelican is a strong symbol - the mother bird feeds her young from her own body-Jesus feeds us with his body and blood during the Mass." The alter itself has a picture of a lamb on it which symbolises Jesus as the 'Lamb of God' - the sacrificial lamb that takes away our sins. The Lady's chapel in this church is designed to copy the grotto at Lourdes, where Mary appeared to St. Bernadette.
