BT have provided us with a Mobiq Satellite telephone to help us keep in touch with our family and friends. It's a brilliant piece of equipment. It looks like a laptop computer and weighs very little. You might think a sat phone is a bit over the top for a journey like ours - and you'd be right - but I know it's going to come in handy!! Find out more about the phone here. |
Stanfords is a fantastic shop for all kinds of
maps, guide books and travel books. The maps we got from them are going to be invaluable
as we trundle eastwards overland. If you need a map - they should have it.

Cooper Avon tyres kitted us out with a complete set of 6 Rangemaster tyres for the Land Rover. We're hoping these 8 ply monsters should stand up to the worst that Pakistan's and India's roads can throw at them. |
Taunton Leisure helped us get all our camping and trekking gear together. Our shopping list of clothes and equipment was huge - but we got it all at Taunton Leisure. They are our local store but have outlets in Birmingham and London. |
