Two Thrones ...

 

... is set shortly after the Patternfall War.  There is an uneasy peace between Amber and Chaos.  Lord Merlin sits upon the throne in Chaos while King Random I sits upon the throne in Amber.  

 

All is well...both realms enjoy a new-found peace...until....

 

During a ball to celebrate the continuing peace between Amber and Chaos, a celebration in which the newly discovered offspring of the Elders will be presented formally to the court - Lord Merlin of Chaos dies unexpectedly.
