Revised Bus Timetable for 109/119 Service from January 7 2001

The 109 and 119 bus timetable changed from 7 January 2001, reducing the number of bus movements through the Mains Estate by half, and reinstating a fuller service on Hunter Road.

The 119 service now runs from the City Centre to Baljaffray via Craigton Road, Hunter Road, Craigdhu Road (South Mains Farm), and vice versa -- the "old" route. The 109 service runs either to Craigton Road, or via Craigton Road, Hunter Road, Castlemains Road, Douglas Muir Road, Stockiemuir Road to Baljaffray and Clydebank.

Buses leave the area at the following times for the City Centre (C--Craigton Road, H--Hunter Road, D--Douglas Academy others, in bold,are through the estate). Buses marked H will be service 119, all others will be 109.

Service times from the estate and Hunter Road are estimated at 5 minutes after the timetabled Baljaffray time, to Clydebank 5 minutes after the timetabled Craigton Road time. Services to and from Craigton Road and Hope Street are as timetabled. Services take approximately 40 minutes from Milngavie to Hope Street and 30 minutes from Milngavie to Clydebank.

Vehicle Use

Double Deckers

First Glasgow have committed to reducing double decker use to a minimum. However due to a safety requirement at Douglas Academy one bus in the set of seven which operate the 109 and 119 buses during the day will require to be a double decker.

Minibuses

Services running from the estate after 7pm and on Sundays will be operated by 25 seat minibuses.
