Transport InformationRailRailtrack Rail Timetable -- Railtrack's well know timetable enquiry page. As useful for checking train times from Milngavie to Partick as for the Eurostar to Paris. Services from Milngavie run at half hour intervals, seven days a week, with an increased service at peak times. Services run (broadly) to and from Queen Street during the day and via Central Station at weekends. The new timetable from 7 January 2000 which will halve the number of buses through the estate and provide an increased service on Hunter Road can be found here. 109/119 bus services from the local area interchange with the railway at Hillfoot Station. The area is also served by "country" buses (service 8/208) operated by First Edinburgh from Buchanan Street Bus Station travelling to Drymen. First Edinburgh's Busline is 01324 613777 Strathclyde Passenger Transport operate a subsidised service, the 49 which stops at the Fire Station in Craigdhu Road. The 49 operates to the City Centre via Mosshead, Baljaffray, Bearsden, Westerton, Anniesland, Great Western Road, Hyndland Road, Byres Road and Dumbarton Road. The SPT also operates a service from Milngavie Station to Kirkintilloch. SPT information is available on 332 7133. |
