Foundation of the Register

Welcome to ' The Un-Original STI register'.
 
Let me introduce myself, my name is Mark or 'Marky-San' as christened by my mate Enzo. 
 
I created this site after someone posted on the Scoobynet thread (see link below) that thought it was a great idea - so here it is. I used to own a Japanese made Subaru Impreza WRX STI, imported in August 2002 - no. 025 of 100. The car is in good hands - otherwise I would never have sold it ;-) 
 
I have removed much of the history of the car and left only some factual details and pictures.  I dont have the car anymore so its pointless continuing (and I do apologise to those who enjoyed the site).
 
Carwise I have an ACCORD TYPE R and EJ Civic and love them to bits - but I will not be creating a site for Hondas - NO FEAR!! LOL!!
 
The piccy above is of Lyndsey and I's new baby - Abby.  Shes absolutely the No.1 person in our lives now and we love her so much.  So you understand why cars are taking a very very distant 2nd place.

Updated some comments on the 'Sans mates' page.  Busy working the little civic sensor problem and getting the ATR sorted out.

Lyndsey and I had a baby!! Little girl called Abby - shes bloody beautiful!!  So you'll understand that the site will not be updated regular.
100 tab - working on a new one just now, so the pics etc are gone.  Sorry - be back soon - possibly ;-)

Site: Some changes due to new ownership of no.025 mainly.
My car:  Sold to Hodgson on ScoobyNet - the car is down south now, leaving only a few in Scotland.
General: Going to be a Dad in March 2005 - be here before I know it.  So I'm real excited about that!!  Hence why the car had to go.  On the prowl now for a nice Honda Accord Type R.

San's mate: Best mate Grahams Accord added.  Markyboys FTO space reduced as he has sold it, to get  a Skyline R33 GTR V-Spec - no less!!

Site: Added picture of newly found No. 067/100 and the same owner has 132/200.  No 067 is for sale.  No 123/200 found.  Great find.  Added Truimph Vitesse picture of my mate David.  Its a classic!
My car:  Did my 1000 mile oil change and car is certainly shifting along merrily.  ScoobyECU is definately evident!

SITE DEVELOPMENT
 
28th December 2002 - the site development starts!!
29th December - beginning to take shape. Theres a whole lot to do - especially in getting details from other owners.
6th January 2003 - Questionnaire sent out to the people of scoobynet who responded to the 'Original STI' post.
10th January 2003 - Andy P confirms that he has no 001 of 100!! Excellent - for personal satisfaction I'd like to find 007 (being as I'm a Sean Connery fan :)
16th January 2003 - Need feedback from owners who received the questionnaire. Otherwise a slighty empty site. C'mon send it the questionnaire and those pictures of luvverly ltd ed STI's.
4th April 2003 - Found No 51 in autotrader. No 38 has been reported.
6th April 2003 - No.132 scanned into the 200 register (picture not great quality).
25th April 2003 - Pictures added of Exesspeeds no 86 of 100. Added picture to 25. Added picture of Simon's 38 of 100 (cheers), however need plaque picture to confirm.
30th April 2003 - Carrots No. 13 of 100 added to the 100 register!
1st May 2003 - Added Guest Register to the 'Rearview Mirror'.
5th May 2003 - started again to iron out some problems. Guest register added to the opening page. Added 'who have we got?' clips to '100' and '200'.
15th May 2003 - Steve Weeks is new owner of no. 97 of 100. Welcome Steve.
18th May 2003 - No. 029 of 200 silver saloon is found in the trader. Welcome Robin.
2nd June 2003 - New page added - 'Sans Mates'...check out Mark's FTO, Pauls turbo and Dougs STI. Updated pics/info to no 013, 024 and 038 of 100.
APOLOGIES FOR THE NEW SITE ADVERTISEMENTS - its a Lycos/Google affiliation.
17th June 2003 - added picture of 117/200, new page called 'On tour', added Lyndsey and my own Civics to 'Sans mates'.
10th July 2003 - Added picture from no. 058/100 and 026/200. Other pictures added to San's mates and more.
8th August 2003 - Bumper update!  INFO: No. 135/200 Chieftains car STOLEN!! CARS: Added pictures and spec's of all following: 029/200 - 063/200 - 133/200 - 145/200 and last but not least 179/200  -  Welcome to you all!!   Added Guy and Leslies picture and spec's.   Added my car's fuel consumption chart to Spec page.  SITE: Changed Rearview mirror content and some pics, added update slot to opening page.
18th August:  Engine big ends have given up the ghost of my own car.  On a brighter note, this gives me a chance to update bits and pieces on the car like clutch, downpipes, fix oil leak etc.
3rd November 2003  -  CARS:  Added pictures of JSTI 078/100, 091/100 and 070/200.  Cheers guys!  I think the site should be sponsored by Autotrader(!) - 2 searches produced no less than 6, yes 6 cars - 029/100, 014/200, 038/200, 052/200, 107/200, 119/200, 122/200 and 191/200.  181/200 is also on the radar!!  SITE:  Slowly reducing size of pictures to try and fit viewing window (damn those pesky adverts!! LOL!).  Also, reducing amount of similar pictures to try help speed up the 56K-ers viewing.  So for a trial I'm limiting pics to 2 per car (with mods getting extra pic where necessary), with a view to in the future changing to 2 pics per frame (i.e. 4 total).
7th November 2003 - CARS: Added new pic of no 001/100 (Cheers Andy!), new car found 010/100 - from Autotrader!
14th November 2003 - CARS: Added new find pic of no 110/200.. Additional pic of 119/200  - all again from Autotrader! 
22nd November 2003 - CARS: Added new finds pics of Symon's no 107/200.
8th December 2003 - 134/200 new owner is Jeff.  Some minor updates including the title picture ;-)  Added knocklink and Dawes Boost controller.  My car is at API Engines getting its rebuild as we speak.  Fingers crossed  David gets it back to me before Christmas!!
12th December 2003 - 021/200 for sale at Dicksons.  SB has sold car to john (058/100).  Potential weird situation with a newly reported 058 from U WOT.  My car is still away - getting decat downpipe fitted and along with Magnex unresonated decat centre - should be very loud.  My rear box turns out to be an HKS item.  Cool! ;-)
29th December 2003 - Happy Birthday to TO'STI'R.  The site is officially 1 year old yesterday!!  I'm amazed - the year has gone so quickly - but its been great finding out about these cars, talking to new owners and just doing the Impreza thing in general.  Hopefully we'll get to the truth of the whether Subaru did more than a '100' and '200' run soon. Fingers crossed that next year hoards the same number of cars and owners - prefer some from abroad (so I can snaffle a holiday ;-)  My car is back in the garage - engine done and dusted, but not running quite right yet.  Just looking forward to getting it back on the road!!  Hope you all have a great festive season!!  Marky-San
7th January 2004 - Site:    Removed 188/200 picture as the car is a 96 car, and from the information I can find - yes, they do seem to have the exact same rear wing as ours?  Car:    Its all go - ScoobyECU, Knocklink & sensor, AFR (still to arrive), Earthing kit and few other bits all on the go at once.  Car still not running right so shes retired for a few weeks till I can get it all sorted out.Future: Wondered if anyone will be going to JAE or any other big car meets this year?  I'm booked for JAE at Billing already - so hopefully might some of you.
17-02-2004  - Site: some additional pictures in No.025 (metal coolant tank and earthing kit). Cars:  Disappointed with the lack of communication with alot of the 'autotrader' found cars - virtually no one has responded after promised pictures and information :-(
My car: Drove it alittle - done 550 miles of my 1000 running in miles.  Contacted a great Rangers man called CAZ1562 from SIDC forum to help me with my AFR and Knocklink fitment.  Looking forward too this ;-)
20-02-2004:  Found a picture of no 028/100 - the owner never bothered their backside to respond to any mails asking for information - so they won't mind me using the autotrader picture then?  Found another car - looks like a 200 version, but dont know the number yet?
1-3-2004  CARs:  Pictures added of 158/200. Have lead on two other cars - red wagon 200 and a black saloon.  SITE:Updates to fuel chart, and several pictures updated in 025.  My CAR:  Getting over to Dereks for some KL and AFR fitting - really looking forward to it ;-)
2-3-2004 SITE:  New page added - 'Lost and Found' for those cars that havent found their rightful place in the Register eyt, but hopefully yhte owners will come forward and claim it.
12-03-2004 Register:  No 093/100 has contacted me.  Found 020/200 in the trader which I've added. My Car:  The spoiler stays!! Had a poll on SIDC and 7 out 10 people reckoned it should stay as is, as opposed to my V5 spoiler idea.
