Saturday January 27th Venue: Tongwynlais Three great games! Another Sunny Saturday! Cold but lovely and bright! Our first visit outside the city too! ......And what great football we saw! All three games saw high quality end to end football with the results in doubt right to the end. The first match against Thornhill saw the best goal yet for Marlboro! It was an absolute screamer from James who blasted a shot with his right foot after moving to the left of the box. The game ended in a narrow defeat but the lads really did themselves proud! The second game also end in a narrow defeat to Llanrumney but it was again a very well fought game and the lads were very unfortunate not to score several more goals! However the best game was yet to come! The third game saw a wonderful victory over Tongwynlais with the lads getting three really well taken goals and it could have been more with just a little more luck! The game ended 3-2 and both sides should be congratualated for producing such an exciting spectacle. |
