It took a while to come but it was certainly worth waiting for! An excellent all round display saw the Eagles record an excellent victory over Danescourt. In the first half the opposing attack were given little room with a very hard working defensive display from Dec, Dave, Niall and Owen.  The familiar looking Danescourt keeper played a blinder and kept Alexandro and Joe at bay. Even with the increasing midfield pressure from Matthew, Jonathan, Hassan and Michael At half time the lads knew they had to work hard and went in  0-0 thanks to a last second amazing save from Will with a point blank reaction stop from a Danescourt striker. The second half saw the introduction of Tom and Josh to add fresh legs to the Defence and Midfield. Alexandro finished off a long run from half way by slotting his first goal of the season and doubled his total within minutes. Although Danescourt pulled one back, Joey was on hand to produce a fine finish to restore the Eagles 2 goal advantage. A slightly dubious penalty decision saw Danescourt get back into the game at 3-2 . The goal spurred the lads on and they went on to completely dominant the remainder of the game which saw Alexandro and Joey each scoring two more goals!
