NWGL

Blackpool is part of the North West Learning Grid, which is a consortium of nineteen local education authorities working in partnership to improve the process and management of learning using the latest information and communication technologies. Central to its activities is the provision of e-learning content.

The Parents Centre A government site providing help, advice and links for help on many issues to do with school and learning, helping you to help your child. Information and support on how to help with your child's learning, social isssues, including advice on choosing a school and finding childcare.
CLEO This is the Cumbria and Lancashire IT site - specifically a link to the section which explains the 'best practice' for schools using the internet with children. There are links here too to school sites and resources for you and your children.
DirectGov Directgov Directgov by the DfES site for parents and carers which provides all manner of information on bringing up your child and help with problems

BBC Education BBC Education News The Education section of BBC's website with links to pages for both parents and children. Key Stage 2 results are especially laid out simply and clearly.
new The Primary Review A review into future of primary education. Read what has ben suggested so far by parents, teachers and other sectors in education. Compare what you read with statements which have come out of school and Blackpool authority.
