* On loan defender Simon Grayson has returned to Blackburn Rovers after Wednesday were unable to agree a fee with Rovers to
secure his services on a permanent basis. Grayson played in the Owls first 5 league games this season.
* Wednesday have signed Middlesbrough's 20 year old defender Robbie Stockdale on a months loan to ease the club's present
player shortage. Stockdale made 6 appearances for Boro last season & is highly regarded by manager Bryan Robson.
