Jan. 2004 Fred Ward one of the clubs longest members died this month. He was always known for his
jokes and laughter and will be missed by All who knew him. He was working on his wife's car exhast when the car fell off its jack onto him.
His funeral was very well attended there being insufficient places for his friends at the cremetorium chapel they,queued in the aisle , the foyer and out
onto the driveway.
He was only stewarding for me a week earlier at the Clubs Champoinship Show and I find it hard to believe that he will no longer be at the Club shows.
He was well known by most Terrier people being a member of the National Terrier Club, on the Airdale Committee and had been involved in Staffordshire
Bull Terriers.He was also a member of the Loughorough Canine Society, and the Leicester .
Along with this he was a Championship Show Judge and was known for his fair judgement.
Our condolances go to his wife Maureen at this time
