The Lotus Elan
Here's a car behind a lot of enjoyment for not a lot of people. Lotus
made this car for the road and that is where it excels. It's cornering
ability is nothing short of astonishing, its power is pretty good (and
can be easily boosted!). The brakes are adequate... well no car's perfect
- get an upgrade. It's reliable, its even pretty economical. Its beautifully
engineered (Lotus seldom disappoint in this regard). The owner community
is friendly and helpful (see Lotus Elan Central). If you
don't have one they can be picked up for half the price of a Focus! What's
