History
TWL is a charity that provides help and training for people out of work to develop their skills and also provides hands on voluntary work placements which allows individuals to showcase their skills to prospective employers.
As part of a Job Centre Plus initiative to help people in deprived areas of Blackpool back into work TWL Training have set up a presence in the area.
You may have seen our mobile unit out and about in Grange Park and the Town Centre.
Another of the ways in which we intend to advertise our presence in the area is via the internet and hence this project was born.
My self and another volunteer were given the task of creating the site you are browsing now.
Blackpool4me was chosen because they are a Community service that offer free Web Space and also free training in the creation of your web pages.
A quick thank you goes to Erika from B4me who trained us and has answered our many questions whilst getting this project up and running.
Creating the site
Our first task was to decide what content we would like to see on the Site.
This gave us a basic structure which in turn became the link buttons you see at the bottom of each page and the contents list at the top right-hand side.
We then needed to add some content, both pictures and text, for the Home Page and for the other pages.
Pages which we are still working on have a brief message and a small graphic which says “Under Construction.”
The Home Page
This contains a brief description of what the group aims to achieve along with contact details so that you can get in touch with us.
