Battle 52 - Aeris Gainsborough vs. Sonic the Hedgehog
The fighters rose to the arena. Aerith
and Sonic gazed at each other for a moment. Aerith then cast Slow on Sonic
and Haste on herself with W-Magic. Sonic's speed drastically dropped to a
normal human's speed. Aerith drank a Hyper and attacked Sonic with her
Princess Guard staff. Sonic could barely dodge a few of the blows.
After a few consecutive hits, Aerith jumped back and began to summon Knights of
the Round. Just as the first knight appeared, the slow spell wore off and
Sonic was able to dodge the strike. As the knights came and went, Sonic
dodged them all. Aerith reappeared after the summon was gone, and she was
hit immediately by Sonic. Aerith flew backwards before she even touched
the ground. Aerith slowly stood up and leaned on her staff for
support. She had really pissed Sonic off and he didn't hold anything
back. Sonic made one last charge with all his strength and hit her in the
stomach. She smashed into the arena wall and made a huge crater.
"Aerith cannot continue.
Sonic is the winner!"
As Sonic started to leave, Cloud rose
to the arena to rush to Aeirth's aid. Cloud glared at Sonic for a moment
as he descended to his waiting room area.
