Evening again,
Alone in her room;
Mommy’s at work, saying she’s busy.
Always the same,
would that be different
with a daddy still around?
That’s hard to imagine,
and where then would the others be....?
Even now life is fun,
playing Tailgunner with Kit,
sitting on Baloo’s lap
or discover a box’s inside at WildCat’s.
But with daddy around
your mommy would be less busy,
more mother.
Every night enough time
to join The Flight Of The Snow Duck
or listen to any other story.
Just being so rare
those moments you’re with friends
are so special,
to remember them forever.
They love you all Molly,
Just as you love them.
The following poem isn't literally based on TaleSpin. I wrote it during
my holiday in England, exhausted after leaving Otley and arriving in Holmfirth.
But with a bit of imagination, you could place this poem also in the TaleSpin-world.
A Lifetime Journey
And suddenly as struck by lightning I knew
I had to go, start a lifetime journey.
There was nothing left here for me,
Me olde family wasn't anymore
This land was deserted.
Until now I went over hills and through valleys,
suffering from hard rain and burning sunlight.
In other lands where I became
alone in the crowd of the cities
I saw people, family life
How sweet was my memory of me olde family
In the cities people asked me
"where're ye going me luv?"
I couldn't answer, how would I know?
And every time I heard "me luv",
my eyes were filled with tears.
Never I had known true love.
There was no love in my life, with a family long gone
and you still unknown.
So I pick up my belongings to continue a lifetime journey.
Over the hills and maybe
Somewhere
Over there
In a quiet peaceful blossoming summer valley dale
You'll join me on a lifetime journey,
You, my true love.
