Belahiya 1 Nepali border town.
Dharan 1 A large dusty market town. Useful for bus connections.
Dhankuta 3 Interesting museum of tribal artifacts
Hile 1 A trailhead near Dhankuta.
Biratnagar 2 A large city in Eastern Nepal.
Chhahari Restaurant is excellent.
Kohinoor Restaurant is moderately priced.
Rajbiraj 3 A small town in a Maithili speaking area.
Stay at Shiva's hotel. Visit a Maithili village.
Dhalkebar 1 A junction on the East West Highway, near Janakpur
Hetauda 1 A major city almost in the middle of Nepal.
Hotel Seema, moderately priced, has a good restaurant.
Kathmandu 2 Capital city and lots of restaurants
Boudhanath 1 Take a taxi from Kathmandu. Visit the stupa.
Bhaktapur 1 Enjoy watching the potters at work. Take the trolley bus from Kathmandu
Patan 1 Walkable from Kathmandu. Historic buildings
Pokhara 3 Somewhere to rest up and enjoy the restaurants. Or the starting point for treks to the Annapurnas.
Bhairahawa 1 Rural border town on the way back to India.
Cross border to the train station at Nautanwa.
