What is the MUSHcode Development Project?

The MUSHcode Development Project (MDP) is an effort to improve the resources available to MUSH coders of all levels. There are two parts to this: firstly, collecting a list of as many existing resources as possible, and secondly, creating new ones (this is really the primary focus of MDP).

MDP aims to create a collection of Tutorials and Examples, in addition to running Lectures and Seminars. All of these are to be aimed at various levels of ability (Basic, Medium and Advanced). We also hope to develop a library of downloadable code which people can use, modify or learn from, as they wish.

One of the secondary goals of MDP is to organize groups of coders to work on common (or perhaps not so common) 'Research Projects', producing code examples for them, and trying to find better ways to implement them.

This is quite a lot to do! So, if you feel you could help in any way (maybe you could write a tutorial for us, donate some of your code, or just send us a few URLs for our links section), then please get in touch!

Cheers,
The MDP Staff
