FISHING

The River Neath and Dulais tributries holds sewin, salmon, and trout. Trout fishing starts from March 10 through until September 30, fish are not big but numerous. Glyn Neath seems to be the better part of the river as there is more fish to the pools. Sewin fishing starts May-June with the fish moving up the river during first heavy rainfalls, the tidal part between Tonna and Aberdulais the fish run through in small shoals. Fish average between 4-9lbs, bigger fish are caught regulary, Salmon also run but seem to be the later part of Aug, Sept, Oct. The bottom half of the river Neath can fish for eel mullet and bass up to 11lb are caught each year. There are mullet all through the year in the River Neath can be caught all year round. Flounder also whitting to a degree also at the bottom end of the estuary.
