It was the day after Nina had gone to see Lori and then break up with Jack. Taj and Lori had gone outside for some air when they saw Nina and Jack. They hid behind a car. Jack was walking down the street when he saw Nina. He needed to talk to her greatly and practically bowled her over in his eagerness.

Nina: Jack this isn't a good idea

Jack: do u think I care? I need to talk to u!

N: look nothing's changed

N: yeah nothing has changed we should be 2gether!

N: I think so too but were not the on-

J: ly people on the earth. yeah I know but Taj and Lori aren’t the only people too. I thought u loved me. I know I love u.

N: I do love u

J: so can we be 2gether. please Nina.

Nina stares into Jacks eyes and realizes he’s right.

N: all right they lean 2gether and kiss

You know that old saying; don't eavesdrop because you won’t hear any good about yourself. Well that was the situation Taj and Lori were in. Lori was in a state of shock she had thought that in being mean to Nina she would end Jack and Nina's relationship. wrong she had seemed to make it stronger. Taj was in a worse state than Lori he had just listened in on his ex-girlfriend tell someone else that they loved them and he was supposed to work with this girl!!!??? he followed Lori shell shocked into the house. they find that Lynn wants to see them so they start off to the Scully's house.

Now what had happened to Nina and Jack? Well they go to the Scully's to relax after their stressing morning

Nina: I can't believe that we’ve had to wait for soo long

Jack: yeah but we’re together now aren’t we?

He leans over her and begins to kiss her when the door opens. Lori and Taj walked in. Jack and Nina looked up, annoyed. They expected it to be one of the Scullys. But no it was Lori and Taj.

Jack: what are you doing here?

Taj: (who was in a state of shock finally came out with) where's Lynn?

J: she's not here (No one moved)

Nina: well maybe you should go then, she said pointedly.

Lori: I guess we should. Bye

Taj and Lori exited

N: I can't believe I just said that (she trembled)

J: hey it was brave of you.

N: (raises her eyebrows) I hope

Jack sat back down on the couch and pulled her down with him.

J: you did well.

Nina soon falls asleep on the couch and jack strokes her hair.

Soon after Lynn walks in. She stops in surprise.

Lynn: hi Jack

Jack puts his finger to his lips and says in a low voice

J: shhh she's asleep

Lynn smiles weakly and exits into the kitchen. She saw now what she refused to see before. Jack loved Nina. Not the love she had seen with him and Lori. But real love.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Lynn hurried out to answer it looking at Jack on the way. His eyes were closed and she thought he was asleep. It was Lori and Taj.

Lori: oh good you’re here

Lynn smiled 

Ly: come in.

Taj: well we would but Jack and Nina-

Ly: oh they're asleep

Taj and Lori enter. Lynn goes into the bedroom to get what she had wanted to show Lori and Taj. Jack opens his eyes and stands up in shock. Then Nina wakes up. She stands up as well.

J: I thought I told you to get lost.

L: we came to see Lynn.

Taj and Jack start to wrestle and knock over a vase just as Lynn comes back.

Ly: get out Jack!

J: gladly

He and Nina leave

Ly: I'm sorry, now where were we?

About a week later on Thursday Jack met Nina at the park. To his surprise she was crying.

 Jack: Nina? What's wrong?

Nina: these guys they came over to me and they asked for you (she paused and looked up at jack) they said to give you this message: they're coming for you.

Jacks blood ran cold

J: oh god no

N: what is it Jack? tell me please

J: well when I was up in the uk there was this biker group called the snake backs. One day one of their guys was shot in the leg. (he faulted)

N: did you?

J: did I what?

N: did you do it?

J: no! I don't know who did it but they think it’s me. That’s why I came back. He looked down

N: oh Jack

She leant down and gave him a hug.

About 20 minutes later they arrived at the Scully's. The phone rang and jack raced in to get it.

J: Jack Scully speaking

Voice on the telephone: finally we have go you. You made us pay so we make you pay. Bring that girl which you’re so obsessed about to the park at midnight and then leave. Or she will be killed. Don't tell anyone about this especially not her. I think you can guess what will happen if you tell some one. The line went dead

N: who was it?

J: just a wrong number. So Nina I think that we should meet each other at the park tonight for a midnight walk

N: what?

J: it'll be fun

N: I suppose

J: so you'll do it?

N: ok, ok

At midnight Nina went to the place where she was supposed to meet Jack. Jack wasn't there yet so she sat on the bench and waited. Ten minutes later Jack was still not there and she started to get worried. Suddenly a bush moved and 3 figures came out. A fist came out from one of the bodies and then every thing was black.

The phone rang and Joe went sleepily to get it. As he answered the phone his eyes widened and for a few moments later he was paralysed with shock. He then jumped into action. He ran to jacks room and swung the door open. He shook Jack awake.

Joe: Jack! Jack!

Jack: what is it dad?

Jo: it’s Nina. She’s- she's at the hospital.

J: what!?!

Ten minutes later they arrived at the hospital. Jack rushed in and bumped into Darcy and sent him flying. Without even apologising he quickly asked how Nina was.

Darcy: come over here and I'll tell you.

(Jack obediently went over to the plastic seats and sat down).

D: she's not good I'm afraid. When she was bashed up her brain went into shock and she's now in a coma.

J: well can I see her?

D: of course

Jack entered the room and was surprised to see so many machines. He saw Nina in the middle and a wave of guilt swept over him. She looked so peaceful so relaxed. He would of thought she was dead except you could see the steady rise and fall of her chest. He walked over to her and kissed he on the cheek

J: I'm so sorry Nina.

The next few days were hell for Jack. No one actually knew what had happened but some rumours were circulating around. Some were far off like: she fell off a roof or she was whipped by her father. But some were close like: she was bashed or she was in a coma. Lori and Taj were the only ones that weren't sympathetic towards Jack and Nina. Well they weren't too thrilled because they’re not that kind of people. But they weren't really sad.

Jack finally gave up on going to school. Things were just too hard. Instead he just sat by Nina’s bed and held her hand. And then he got into another fight. It was with Darcy.

Darcy: Jack go home

Jack: no. I've got to stay here. What if she wakes? Then one of the monitors will alert us. So basically you're relying on machines to look after her.

D: she'll be perfectly safe-

J: NO!!!!!!!

D: (sounding annoyed) Jack there's no point He slapped Jack in a friendly manner on the back

J: get you hands off me!

He pushed Darcy. Darcy ordered Jack out of the hospital and Joe dragged him home.

Nina was still in a coma and Jack was at school. They were doing English but Jack could hardly concentrate. Everyone was pointing and laughing at him. There was Lori, Taj, Tahnee, -Michelle?!? Suddenly his name was called out. Libby was at the door and was beckoning at him to come outside with her. As he stood the laughter grew harder and Jack became puzzled he reached up his back and felt for a sign. There was none. Kind of scared he went and followed Libby.

Libby: Jack I'm sorry but Nina- Nina she didn't survive.

Jack: what! No you’re joking your lying you have to be.

Lib: I'm sorry.

J: I want to say goodbye.

Lib: that wouldn't be a good idea.

J: I want to see her!!! The world started spinning. Jack could feel his heartbeat he could see Nina he was trying to get to her

J: Nina Nina

Jack awoke with a shock. He sat up wiping the sweat that had gathered on his face from the vivid dream
