A long and tiring but extremely good trip up to North Uist paid dividends, the Immature male Snowy Owl at Grenitote bay showed very well giving views as close as 30 ft at one point.

A selection of images are reproduced below, all taken with a Canon EOS 1Ds with 600mm f4 IS lens, some with a 1.4X converter, mainly at 100asa gain.
