Grey Heron Ardea cinerea
at Rye house

I spent about two hours photographing
this Heron, it was on one of the manmade Kingfisher nesting banks, it
preened, dozed, stretched and sunned itself until some noisy children
frightened it off. All of these images were shot digitally with a Canon
EOS D30 and a Sigma 800mm F5.6 lens set at 200asa

I have wanted shots of a Heron in this posture for a very long time, so I went home extremely happy.
