Having begun their showbiz careers as dancers on the cult-late night TV show 'The Hitman And Her' , Spike Dawbarn and Jimmy Constable developed their own avid fanbase, Spike:"As dancers we were getting a better response than the acts we were supporting so we thought we'd form a pop group of our own".

Lee Brennan met Spike and Jimmy at a roadshow he took his little sister to, convinced them to let him join the band and 911 were born.

911 911 have achieved a lot in their short time together. Their debut single, a night to remember of the 80's disco classic 'Night to remember', charted at No.38. They won GMTV's' Search for the Next Big Thing', clear winners by over 10,000 votes. They took the Smash Hits Roadshow by storm and caused chaos at the Children's BBC Big Bash in Birmingham.

911 mania has hit fever pitch. They are in hot demand appearing on every telly show from Richard & Judy's 'This Morning' to 'The Ozone'. Their fanclub has rocketed to over 15,000 members and 911 are fast beconing the busiest pop band around.

911's second single, the catchy summer tune 'Love Sensation', reached No.21 in the UK Top 40 in August 1996. Not bad for a new band on their own independent record label, the Ginga Recording Co. It was this phenomenal success which captured the attention of major record company Virgin Records and in October Ginga and Virgin joined forces to give 911 the worldwide attention they deserve.
