The effect was achieved by using a Photoshop action.   A Niche This is a hole in the tarmac with some grass growing in it, a tiny micro environment.   Leaning post in the snow, Feb 03 I saw this bordering the 2 fields and crouched down to photograph it.   Grass mounds in snow-Feb 03 This is part of next door's garden. I photographed them thru the bathroom window to get an elevated perspective.   Grass Clump-Feb 03 A clump of grass in the snow. Trying to see like Edward Weston.   Stubble in Snow-Feb 03 Walking along a country lane I noticed this stubble field in the snow and decided to concentrate on one group of stubble.   Wood, Autumn-Winter 2003 I took this photo at the beginning of autumn and printed it myself. I then decided to have a go at sepia toning at college. I think it suits the subject matter.
