Here is a sample of my college work, all printed myself in the darkroom. Film used was Jessops Pan100S unless otherwise stated. Prints developed in ID11

Antique

This is an old abandoned Art Gallery in the town. It has since been demolished!

Dandelion life cycle

Taken to show the life stages of a dandelion flower for my chosen assignment 'Time'

A photogram with tones

A photogram of autumn leaves, the leaves being removed partway through so as to give some tonal detail.

Photogram in stages

Here one leaf was removed every 4.5 seconds.

Snail Track,December 02

This is a photogram using some old film and a loading spiral. I thought it looked like a snail.

Glove-Feb 2003

Film is HP5+. Printed at college on Jessops paper, scanned in then given an art look background.

Bramble Flower

Part of a time sequence showing the flower opening.

The Kodak

This is a drawing i made of a Kodak advertisement from 1889

A straight photogram

This is what a photogram normally looks like, just white on black.

Positive photogram

This is a positive print of the above image, done by laying a piece of photographic paper under the image. Notice it is laterally reversed.

Cells, December 02

This was made with a persil wash bag, a pen and top and a metal 35mm film drying clip.

String on Door-Feb 2003

We had tied some string around a door knob on the shed door, and the pattern interested me.
The door is jet black so I had to alter my exposure to compensate, and was pleased when I saw the print come out!
