Tarantula Eyes
These are the eyes of my Tarantula, magnified 100X.
The spider sheds its skin every now and then which gives me an opportunity to have a closer look!
Spider Eyes
I found a dead spider (possibly
Amaurobius
)in the house and popped it under the 'scope. These are some of its eyes (They have 8)
Shield Bug eyes
A dead Shield Bug's eyes at 100X
Underside
This is the underside of the Tarantula where things are very hairy!
Spider Claw
At the end of some spiders legs are claws which help them clamber around.
Shield Bug proboscis
This was a lucky find! Its the needle like proboscis that the bug at left uses to pierce plant parts. Its like a hypodermic needle!
