because the OBSU wouldn't let us have the name OBAOSS because we are an OBSU society and not a brookes society we have had to get rid of the OB bit (our domains still have the OB bit in though, but we work as AOSS now)

Welcome to the OBAOSS (Oxford Brookes Alternative Operating System Society) website.

OBAOSS is set out to provide:

• A base for users at Brookes with Alternative Operating Systems (Mac, Unix, Linux and anything else but Windows)
• Windows users with information that may make them 'Switch'
• Meetings/gatherings of users and developers
• A stable and easy to use website that has news, articles and useful links
• Exclusive User Group Pre-Release news and Special Discounts. Click Here for details
• Help to student software developers at Brookes (who have a Mac/Unix computer and have had to learn to program in windows)
