I
have been besotted with Persians all my life, ever since I arrived
into the world at the same time as a very bad tempered long haired
cat came to live in our house. She remained unapproachable all her
life which should have made me give up, but the love of the 'fluffies'
has never left me.
In
particular, I specialise in Pure Blue breeding, trying to emulate
the pale, long coats that the original breeders managed to achieve
and of which I am full of admiration. The sweeping majestic Blue
Persian is truly a sight to see and one that still fills me with
delight. This is somewhat ironic, since my first Persian was a Blue
Cream. My prefix followed later, in 1987.
Also,
I am more well known for my White breeding since making up my White
girl, Orbis Birthday Cascade to Grand Champion, and her half-sister
hopefully following in her footsteps.
Breeding
to pedigree is something I am fascinated with and I am fortunate
that my lines go back to some of the oldest pure lines in the country.
I own what is probably the last entire breeding female with the
Fortina prefix, and with plans to put her into kitten soon, I hope
to look forward to a unique Pure Blue litter!
I
am currently enrolled on the Judges' Scheme of the GCCF as a steward
and lookforward to the day when I will be judging these beautiful
cats. I am a Committee member and Honorary Treasurer of the Blue
Persian Cat Society - a club incidentally which has the distinction
of being the oldest Longhair breed club in the world.
I
am available for cat chat or information by contacting me at the
