WHAT IS ROTASERV?
• Rotaserv was set up in
Colchester in 1999 and is a club for men and women aged 30 to 40, and currently has 16 members.
• We are primarily a social club, arranging smaller events (i.e. cinema, bowling, pub-meals, skidpan driving etc.)
amongst ourselves or larger events (race nights, formal balls, sports events & quiz’s) with other clubs in the district.
• We also have support from local Rotary clubs (although no longer officially linked)
and aim to raise money for local organisations and charities. So far we have raised over £1500 for local charities.
• The direction of the club and it’s activities are controlled by the club members, so new
members are especially welcomed for their fresh input.
• You would not be joining someone else’s club, this would be your club.

WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE
• On the second
Thursday of the month we meet at 8 pm (informal drink before 8.30pm meeting) at The Arena in Colchester for a meeting to discuss the “business” of the club.
• This is where we review recent & forthcoming
events & organise fund-raising or community events.
• Other than that we get together at various times in the month for social and fund raising events.
• The club has a number of officers - President,
Treasurer, Secretary etc. - who help direct the club in as informal way as possible.
