1 Maidstone and District

Now part of the Cowie company and being rebranded as "Arriva".

Buses arriving in Hastings currently have three different liveries;

a)......Almost NBC green and cream, of the companies serving the town this livery changed the least at privatisation and deregulation, with a slight updating and new fleetname style. Mainly on older buses.

b)......"new livery" light emerald green and cream with lighter green band and fleetname in an oval panel. Becoming more common before the "Arriva" change.

c)......"Arriva" livery with turquoise all over except for cream splash to front dome, and the fleetname "Arriva serving Kent and Sussex". Originally on one double decker and one single decker now (Jan 98) being applied to more of the fleet

2 Fuggles of Benenden Ceased trading mid March 1999 and route to Tunbridge Wells was run by Stagecoach, followed by Arriva as a permanent arrangement and is now back as a South Coast Buses service.

On route 19 Bodiam to Eastbourne via Battle,
Bexhill and Pevensey seen at Bexhill Town Hall
Square March 1999 this quiet rural route seems
over provided for with a double decker.
