Shane McDermott LL.B., B.Sc., is a health professional with a long-time interest in mathematics (especially the history of mathematics) and astrology.  He firmly believes that the lottery can be predicted, and that astrology will provide a key to prediction.  To this end he has spent the last three years researching the interface between astrology and lotteries (which he terms 'astrolottology'), and owns a mailing list on this niche subject.  He is currently studying statistics with the Open University.

'Evil Nigel' spent a year as a medical statistician, and has put the disciplines learnt to good use in football forecasting and latterly lottery forecasting. The start of the UK National Lottery coincided with the ready availability of personal computers with a modicum of number crunching capability, since when he has been developing the concept of lottery forecasting using metastatistics.

David Allan is married with two boys and is a tax consultant by profession, specialising in UK income tax. He is a Libran, his wife is an Aquarian and our boys are Libran and Capricorn respectively. His hobbies are military history, astronomy and all aspects of esoteric wisdom. His system is based on a detailed analysis of past lottery results, looking at several criteria. This is then used to give each number a points value. He has won several prizes for getting 4 right and his wife has won a 5 number prize, partly using his system and Intuition. He fully believes that he can win the bigger prizes and his catchphrase is 'It's only a matter of time!'.
