30th September 2004 ~ Thrusday! Last Sunday I took the individual pictures of every players of Paul's football team. At the moment, I am working more on their website: http://members.lycos.co.uk/blackhorse2004 Next weekend, or next time, they play with the orange kit, I hope to take a photo of the whole team. Last Monday Jon, Isabel, Paul and I were home having a cup of tea with cake. From there, we moved to the wine and then we started to play ludo. Everytime someone caught one of you pieces you must drink a shot of rom. Jon ended up very drunk. We had a good time. It was really funny! Isabel is the girl we met at the badmington evenings. She is French and is a Spanish/French teacher. She lives near our house and shares with other people. On Tuesday we went to badmington. Paul and I love it. It is the best time of the week. I like smashing the shuttlecock but I am going to learn other shots. |

17th September 2004 ~ Friday! Hola coca~cola! |

16th of September 2004 ~ Wednesday! |

9th of September 2004 ~ Thursday! Hola! I am writting from Hungtindon. I have been here the whole week on a course. It is really boring! Last weekend was fantastic, specially Friday. The weather was wonderful. Sunny and hot. Around 28C! During last August apparently we had more rain than in the last 50 years. But so far, September is going ok. Last Friday when I woke up I was going to visit my sister but I was a bit tired after working Wednesday and Thursday and not sleeping much. So I spent the day at home, cleaning, ironing,etc...then I exercised on our gym for about one hour. In th evening we had a BBQ in our garden with Natacha, Arthur and Steve. When they left Paul and I went dancing. We went to Davinchi's. I loved it. I danced lots. Paul does not like dancing but he just look at me. Davinchis is not a proper disco place but is the only one in Tunbridge Wells. I love going dancing but I find it difficult to find someone to go with but from now on, I have decided that everytime I want to go dancing I will go on my own. Jon is normally up for it as well but he went out with other people on Friday. On Sunday we went with our bikes to the town to do a few things and then we came back home. It was scorching. I put my bikini on and sat in the garden with my sewing machine to make the curtain for the gym. Paul was cutting the grass! On Sunday Paul played football. It was the first match of the season. They drew 1-1. Then we went to meet the new member of the family. Zuzi had a baby. It is a boy and they have called him Frank like Paul's middle name!. As soon as I get the pictures out of my digital camera I will get one on my web! Sunday afternoon we had a BBQ in the garden with Jon, James, Steve and Ronnie. It was nice. Not as much alcohol as usual because it was Sunday. Paul made a nice cake using apple, pears & blackberries from our garden. It was delicious! On Monday I had to get up at 5am to come here. On Tuesday I went back to Tunbridge Wells for the night. Paul and I went to Badmington. Paul and I enjoy so much the badmington that are really looking forward to go again! Today is Thrusday. We are on a coffe break. I am doing a Nokia course on Unix. It is so boring that I find it a waste of time! Last night I went with people from work for an Indian. Even that was boring! We are not really friends and it is difficult to find something interesting to talk about! Tomorrow Friday we should finish pretty soon and I guest we will be back in Tunbridge Wells around 3pm. I will go swimming. Next Sunday I have got water polo match in London. |

1st of September 2004 ~ Wednesday! I am still a non-smokers! it feels brilliant! Now it is one year and two months! I spent the weekend working. On Monday it was Bank Holiday and when I got up I went to see Paul cricket in Croborough. Yesterday was a very sunny day ( finaly) and my sister visited me. We went shopping a bit in Tunbridge Wells and then we had lunch at home. In the afternoon Paul and I went to the Sport Center to play badmington. We went to play last wek and saw a sign inviting people to turn up on Tuesday at 7pm to play badmington. I am very glad we did. There must have been around 40 people and 8 courts. During three hours we keep playing doubles, all the time changing partners. It was really enjoyable! Today we are a bit tired. Paul has got football trainning and I have got a water polo match at Worthing. Ronnie is coming with me. It is only a friendly match! Tomorrow I am working, and today I'll end up going to bed quite late again! Today it is really sunny and hot. It is 22 degrees centigrade! |

21st of August 2004 ~ Saturday! We have been on holidays " Camping" with Jon, Steve, Ronnie and James. It has been fantastic! My first camping experience ever! We left last Saturday morning. Ronnie and James left later. Our first stop was a campsite James and Ronnie visited last year in Savernake Forest near Malborough. This campsite looked very nice but unfortunally the toilets were not working, so after visiting the Tourist Information Office and driving for a long long time, we found another campsite. This campsite wasn't very big but it wasn't very full when we arrived around 11am. We put our tents up and Steve and Jon went fishing. Paul and I were for a 4 hours walk along a canal full of boats! The day was very hot and apparently this is not very good weather conditions for proffesional fly trout fishermen. So after 5 or 6 hours Steve and Jon turned up to the campsite empty handed! Unacceptable! We were the first one to came to the campsite and could not believe the amounts of tents, people, childrens, dogs there right on top of our tent! As you can see in this picture: |
|
In the evenings we used to light two barbecues and enjoy chatting and a drink! I was normally the first one to go to sleep! That night I did not sleep very well because there were two men inside a tent shouting to each others ( they must have been deaf). Also I could not relax with the smell of dog pees inside our tent ( as we were to find out later; there was a dog fond of marking our tent as his territory) and to finish off, very early in the morning children up and about. Apart from that, my first night ever sleeping in a tent was ok. My sister and I used to sleep in the garden during the summer nights in Spain when we lived at my parents. On Sunday after we had breakfast (eggs on toast) we drove through country lanes to the Dorset coast. The fishermen went to a nearby lake. Ronnie and James went to the Cider Museum and Paul and I went to buy food and to have a picnic. In the afternoon we met up with Ronnie and James and walked around Maiden Castle. Later, we found a campsite in Osmington. It was an amazing spot. On top of a hill, looking over a beautiful scenery. After the previous night experience, we made sure we used the 3 cars to secure a nice large pitch. That evening Jon and Steve came back with 2 trouts! It is really nice to be in contact with nature. When we found this spot on the campsite we didn't realised that there was a field full of cows next to it but every morning at 6am the whole herd would start mooing! Still better than the alarm clock! We spent two days in Osmington. The last day we drove to the New Forest. This was my favourite place. We spent the day playing cricket. Then it rained again the evening and we built a shelter with plastics! We came back on Wednesday and spent the day sleeping. On Friday we played badmington (after watching it on the Olympics). We went for a curry in the evening with Lupe and Daffyd. |

14th of July 2004 ~ Wednesday! We have been to Poland on Paul's cousin's wedding. We stay with another cousin, Agnieszka, her husband Karol and their son Adrian. We flew to Warsaw last Friday with Paul's parent. Because of Paul's dad work, at Heathrow we went into the "CLUB LOUNGE" which Paul and I liked very much: champagne, food, internet,etc.... Then we have to join the common people into the Eurotraveller plane seats while Wiesia and Ian had cooked breakfast, we had a sandwich! On Warsaw we got a train to Radomsko which took forever. When we arrived to Aga and Karol's house, we had dinner. The communication was ok. Thanks God they had a dictionary polish-english and I am not too bad at mimicking. Aga and Karol made us very welcome. Life is very different there. I think that we enjoyed each other company. Karol is very funny. He goes to the shop 20 times a day. They had two female dogs and 6 puppies and 2 cats. The wedding was brilliant. First we went to the church,etc,etc,etc......the party was celebrated in a very nice house with a big garden, and even a lake. Here are some pictures of how we started the night and we finished it. The pretty couple are Paul's cousing, Marcin & Anieska. Norah is the one wearing lila shoes, I have got a black dress and the tramp is Paul at 5am. |
|
The peculiar thing about polish wedding is that we eat a little bit, then everybody gets up and dance a few songs when a tune tells us go back to the table to eat and drink more. You spend the whole night eating and drinking and this can be very tiring! But fantastic! Paul was very handsome wearing a blue suit and a read tie. Another thing that I notice is that Polish poeple are very beatiful. Men look like babies. Clear hair, white skin, tall, straight noses, with no hair in their bodies, etc...quite different to the mediterranian type! Paul has got the best of Polish and the best of English so this equals= The Best One! I met Paul's mum family. I liked them all. They are very similar to Spanish people. I met Paul's grandma. I was very sad to say bye bye to Aga and Karol. They were very nice to us. I hope we visit them again soon. This week I am also off work. Today I have been having some coffe with Virginia and Lupe. |

7th of July 2004 ~ Wednesday!
Today it is Paul's birthday! He is now 31 years old! Hoy es el cumpleaños de Paul! Cumple 31 años! I have been off work for a week. Last Wednesday I picked up my sister and we went shopping in Croydon. On Thursday she came to my house: we had lunch and watch Wimbledon.
He tenido una semana libre.
On Thrusday night, Paul took me out for dinner after work to celebrate that I have 1 year without smoking.
On Friday I went to Spain for 4 days. I stayed Friday and Saturday in Malaga with my mum. We spent Saturday morning in Marbella Market. It is a posh market full of English, Germans and Spanish.
After what Paul did for my birthday I feel that anything I do today for his, is not going to be as good.
One night in Malaga, in the seafront we saw two women with a suitcase full of old fashion clothes and accesories. We were not sure what they were offering until we asked.....
With my dad I spent Sunday and Monday in Seville. On Sunday we watched the final of the Euro 2004: Greece against Portugal. I am sorry Portugal lost. I also lost my bet.
On Monday we went to the beach and had a very relaxing time there. In the evening, we went to the cinema and watched Troy. El lunes nos fuimos a la playa. A Matalascañas.
See you soon!

27th of June 2004 ~ Sunday! I have been away for work the whole week. I went to Huntingdon for a course. I departed last Sunday because I could not make it for Monday morning 9am start. Also I could watch Spain playing against Portugal from the hotel room. The match was a bit disappointed. Spain lost and are out of the Euro 2004. My company runs on the cheap, even though they make lots of money. I worked for a telecommunications company in a Porject for the London Underground. ( no me acuerdo) y gano. Inglaterra lost on penalties. Ayer sabado no hicimos nada. Wankers! Ya he vendido mis zapatos en e-B ay. Por £35. Me costaron £70 pero me los compre pequenos. Hoy no tenemo plan. Jupi!!!!! |

15 of June 2004 ~ Monday!
Last weekend we have were gardening! We planted two new trees. One has got lemon green leaves and the other red ones. We have also taken off the ivy which was growing around the Nut Tree. |
|
Last Saturday we went to the Claremont School Summer Party. Children were singing, playing instruments, playing old games, eating home-made cakes,...really nice! We met two couples English-Spanish woman. They live in near our street. They are young and have children. I am planning visiting them soon.
The Euro cup 2004 in Portugal has started. I went down the betting shop and put £5 for Portugal to win the Euro Cup. I took the odds 13/2.
Well, things has not started very well. Portugal lost his first match. Spain won and England lost against France.
We have sold our gas BBQ on e-Bay.
We bought this gas BBQ 3 years ago. Gas BBQ are crap! They are not the point of having a BBQ. So we wanted to get rid of it. We paid £250 for it and I did not wanted to through it away, so I put an advert on the local paper but nobody phoned me. Some weeks passed and because we are building a gym on the garage we really wanted to get rid of the BBQ. Paul suggested to put on the street and ask people to help themselves. He thought someone will be take it.
I was remembering the illusion we had when we bought it and that there must be someone out there, feeling that a gas BBQ is a good idea.
Everybody at work talk about e-Bay but I have never really visit the website. But just recently, my sister started to bet on e-bay and talk to me about it. So I registered and bought cordless microphone. Then I decided to put the BBQ and after 10 days. we got £132 for it. Someone came to collect it last weekend and paid cash. I could just not believe it!
Today I have been with my sister y Arturo. I saw them net curtains, painted a mirror, planted grass seeds, drove them to buy BBQ, garden furniture, pots, plants, lamps, cable,....I am nackered now! |

6 of June 2004 ~ Sunday! On Thursday I spent the day shopping. Then I met Vanessa in the Compasses for a drink. Paul and I are off for a week. We are not goning anywhere. On Friday we painted the hall in lemon yellow. In the afternoon Jon phoned and we went out for one drink to the Compasses. Paul left the house first with £20 note. I had a shower and met them later with no money. After 3 rounds, we decided to go for a curry. Steve was persuaded and joined us. Then the inevitable! Jon and I wanted to go to Davinchi and Paul and Steve not. We tossed a coin in the middle of the street and we won. We went to Davinchi but Steve was wearing trainners and was not allowed in. He left, but Paul was not so lucky and had to come with us. Apparently Jon ended up sleeping in a bench in the park. On Saturday was Wiesia birthday. Paul's mum. We went to Sevenoaks and stayed there the afternoon with Amber. We spent the day hungover. Today Sunday, I am playing waterpolo in London. Tomorow Monday we are going to France to buy wine. See you later! |

30th of May 2004 ~ Sunday! I am 30 and gullible! What a surprise! It was wonderful!
A couple of weeks ago, I planned to go out with friends for my birthday but as the day was approaching, I changed my mind and decided that I could not be bothered with the arrangements. So as far I knew, Paul and I were going out on our own to the Thai restaurant.
Nobody phoned me on my birthday. I was not surprised because I am not very good in doing so myself. The only person who phoned and left a message was my mother in law. I insisted in calling her back to thank her for calling and also because the weekend before my parents in law gave me a card and a present, but Paul ( who I consider to be is Mr.Polite) keeps discouraging me from calling: " Never mind! Next time you see them!" or "You can call her tomorrow! Your birthday is the whole wekeend!" ....Oh No! I just wanted to get the day finish and over. In the afternoon, while we were getting ready I even suggested to Paul to stay at home and have some wine in the garden. I was being very negative about my birthday celebration. Last year I planned a BBQ for my birhtday and it rained. I was so dissapointed that this year even though it was my 30th brithday, I honestly did not felt like to do anything special. We left the house walking. A couple of streets before the Thai restaurant, Paul suggested to walk through town and see who was there, And then, before I realised we were entering a different restaurant. What a surprise! Steve, Lee, Katrina, Ronnie, Vanessa, Natacha, Arthur, Lupe, Daffyd, Zuzi, Glen, Norah, Stuart, Iza, Nigel, Nancy, Jon and James! |
I was very shocked! and I even cried ( just a little bit)! We had dinner and then we went bowling. I cannot remember much. I didn't eat much - I had wine for my main course! It is fun bowling when one is a bit merry. Paul told me that he won. We were dancing and I was drinking champagne! I loved my surprise and had a good and special 30th Birthday! Earlier on, during the dinner, I starting to understand peculiar things which have been going on recently. For example: Paul saying not to phone his mum - he knew that she cannot keep a secret. Paul took an interest on what I was wearing that evening and even asked me what shoes I would be wearing. I told him my pink sandals and he asked me if I would be wearing socks (thinking of going bowling). I told him "Socks? Sandals wih socks? Come on Paul" Lupe and Daffyd were not away on a romantic weekend! Norah and Iza were not in a Salsa party. Ronnie asked me a couple of days before if I would like this present or the other. Natacha visited me that week. I kept telling her that I was not going to do much for my birthday but she kept saying" I'll see you on Saturday anyway" and again "See you on Saturday" and again "I'll see this weekend".... Jon, Steve, Lupe, Daffyd, Paul and I ended up the night at home. We were singing very loud. I have got a big amplifier and microphone. My neighbours next door were away but not the neibourhood. The next day I had to buy a Sorry Card and chocolates for our neighbours Peter & Pat. Jon stayed over and this time he only broke a lamp. We were quite lucky - he usually breaks more. Paul got me a birthday cake with the shape of a pig. It is one of those cakes that looks nice but tastes not so good. I managed to make a little hole on the back to get the sponge from there. Well, when Paul and I were upstairs getting ready to go to bed, we could not find Jon. Paul went downstairs and what was Jon doing? Sticking his hand up the - - - - of my piggy. He was hungry! I starting shouting and complaining to Paul about his behaviours. Jon starting shouting too and Paul telling us to shut up and then we fell asleep! |

27 of May 2004 ~ Wednesday! Hello! I haven't been able to to speak to you much recently because at work they have put us a new anti-virus software and it does not allow me to play with my website much. Next weekend it is my birthday! I have just have a couple of days off. On Monday I cut the grass and our garden looks really nice! Yesterday I went to Tonbridge Pool with Eva and Ana. I was in the babie's pool when Ana starting pooing. Thanks God nobody saw that. Then I took her on my arm and she was sick on me. Oh my God! But at least Eva said to me: " Don't worry this is just the biscuit she had yesterday!" and when I came back from the shower she asked me what colour it was the sick...so she could work out what she brough back! This morning I visit Ronnie in Uckfield. Fantastic! Ronnie is an Antique Restorer and has got a very beatiful and cosy house. I specially liked her studio. She showed me, what for most people, would be a piece of glass broken in 10.000 pieces and she said to me: " Look at this Pat, I am very lucky to have this!". And she showed me a picture of what the 10.000 pieces of glasses are meant to look like ( = a pretty glass pot from many years ago) and she said: " I just need some time to put all this together!" Bloddy Hell! It is really interesting what she does. She has two cats and a BEATIFUL RUSTY RED FRONT DOOR! Then Natacha came home to spend the day with me and we were sewing a red skirt for her. |

18 of May 2004 ~ Tuesday! I enjoyed last weekend very much! On Friday afternoon I went swimming to Tonbridge. I love swimming on the outdoor pool. In the evening, I cooked an Spanish Asparagus Omelette and had nice food and wine. Steve spend the night with us. We sat in the garden chatting and driking wince. The weather this weekend has been extraordinary. Very sunny and hot. On Saturday afternoon we went to the park with Jon to play tennis. Then, our neibourghs Ashley, Eva and baby Ana came and Ashley played two sets with us. We played doubles. Jon and Paul. Ashley and I. Ash plays wells. Next time we will let him know if he wants to play with us. We lost by the way. In the evening, we went to the Blackhorse. It was The End of Season Party of Paul's football team. Dita was there. She is Adam's girlfriend. We were on the pub chatting and there was a karaoke going on but I didn't dare to sing. It was the Boy's Night. Paul received a trophey as " Manager Player of the Year". On Sunday morning, we went to Chileshurst to see my sister's new house. We had breakfast together. Then we left the car there and got the train to London. I had to play water polo in Hammesmith. London league. I missed the first match because we couldn't find the pool. As you came out of the tube station, there are three different St Paul's School. It was really hot. Paul and I were running everywhere but had to miss the first match. We even try going into a Internet Cafe and try to find directions. Anyway I play the whole second match. I am not sure who we played against, but I enjoyed very much. We spent the afternoon in Sevenoaks with Paul's family in the garden. On Monday they installed us Sky. When I sat down to have lunch, there was so much to watch that it was a difficult decistion to stick with a particular channel: Giro of Italy, Davis Cup, TVE1....Now I can watch Spanish Television. It is wicked! |

28 of April 2004 ~ Wednesday! After spending last weekend in the office, I decided to make for it on Monday, Tuesday and today. On Monday I woke up early. I did a few things in the house and around midday I put a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and went cycling to Tonbridge. It was a really sunny and hot day. On my way there, I saw Miguel, who was also cycing back from Tonbridge Collegue. In Tonbridge I went to the swimming pool to do some trainning. I swim 1500 meters and then I went to the outdoor pool where I sunbathed a bit! Then I went for a walk in Tonbridge and I saw Lorena. Cycling back to T.Wells wasn't so easy because it is uphill. When I came back home I was exhausted and haven't eaten during the whole day. Paul prepared some lasagna and I felt sleep straight away. I love snooker and at the moment it is the Embassy World Championship but I can't managed to watch the evening highlights because, like a baby, I cannot stay awake passed 9pm.Mathew Stevens is doing quite well. He is now going to play semifinals. Bye Bye |

25 of April 2004 ~ Sunday! Today is my 6th Anniversary with Paul and my sister's birthday! I am going to talk about some of my favourite things: My favourite radio stations are: LBC 97.3 BBC LONDON/KENT I actually prefer BBC London than BBC Kent. When I am at work I can pick up BBC London but at home, I listen to BBC Kent. My favorite radio presenter is: CAROLINE FERADAY. She is on Friday night from 8pm. Very entertaining and relaxing! I am going to e-mail Caroline and let her know about this, so maybe she sign my guest book! A few months ago, I talked to you about my 3 favourites English written books: 1.- Memoirs of a Geisha - Arthur Golden 2.- English Passengers - Mathew Kneale 3.- The Aquarius of Pyongyang - Kang Chol-Hwan My favourite food is: SALAD ( lettuce, tomato, onion, carrot, sweet corn, olive oil, vinegar and salt) Delicious! I am a vegetarian. My favorite car is: ROVER 75 AND JAGUARS. My favorite comedy is: ROYLE FAMILY My favorite website: BBC My favorite names: BARBARA, WILLIAMS AND GEORGE. Today is Sunday. I have been working the whole weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 8pm. It has been such a sunny weekend! I am happy for Paul. He must enjoy himself a lot. Yesterday to celebrate James's birthday, he went to play golf with his friends. Then they went out for dinner. This morning he played football. The last match of the season. They lost. Now he is at home cutting the grass. Paul's football league is now finished. He plays on the 7th division of Kent/Sussex. The 7th division is the last one. They have finished 5th. Not bad eh? His team is called " Black Horse". Today it is my sister Marta birthday. She is now 25 years old. We were talking today on the phone about how young we feel physicologically. My sister feels she is 18. I am going to 30 years old soon and I also feel 18. This is brilliant! We talked about some people who used to look really old us when we were young and now we are those people's ages. It is amazing! I was telling my sister that I am supposed to start thinking about having children cos my biological clock is ticking and you know.......we both starting laughing! This is a joke! I am getting old! My sister is getting old! I still remember what she write on my birthday card last year when I turned out 29 . It was funny " "You are still young sis. But remember...I will always be younger than you" Changing subject: No me lo puede creer! Today is my 6th Anniversary with Paul. SIX YEARS OF LOVE! It is 16.40. I am at work. I just remember what an special day today is. Obviously Paul hasn't remember because he hasn't mentioned it to me. Never mind, we always tend to forget. Six years! I love Paul. I could start talking about how wondeful our relationship is and how happy we are but I think......No! No because I don't want, just because it may be boring for you lot! This is like when we are in the shopping center, in the street or in the train station and there is a couple " too passionately" kissing. With tongue and all. It makes me sick! But when I ask Paul to give a big kiss in the street and he shyly kiss the air around my cheek....when he see me about to complaint about this, he tend to remind me of the feeling that other couple caused on me. But it is not the same, is it? Looking at them is digusting.......but us....we are special. I never get Paul to kiss me in the street anyway! I can't believe I was 23 and Paul was 24 when we met! Amazing! My favorite snooker player is Mathew Stevens. He has beaten Hunter 13-12. I haven't seen the match. |

19 of April of 2004 ~ Monday! Last weekend I went to Gratham, Linconshire to play waterpolo. I play Hayward Heath ladies waterpolo team. Charlotte and Deborah are the best players. They used play for the GB team and are really good and fit. Charlotte is the captain. Tony is our coach. One day I will put some pictures of the team. When I came on Sunday evening, Paul has bought a bench and weights. They were all in the garage. We are now thinking about converting our garage in a gym. Our garage is very old and beutiful but must have been built 100 years ago because a modern car don't fit through the doors. Today, there is a rumours that Tony will allow a referendum on EU ( European Union). It is a pity I cannot vote in this country! Which in fact, it is very silly because this is where I live and I pay taxes and contribute quite a lot as an active member of society. But there you go, I can vote in Spain where I haven't got a clue what is going on. I hope England joins Europe...but I doubt this will be the case! This morning I was playing piano for about one hour but then I felt really tired and because I was working tonight, I spent the rest of the day in the sofa. In the afternoon I met Paul in London and we walk along the Thames from his office to mine. At 8pm, I went to work and he took his train back home. Next weekend I am working! This is crap! We are not progressing the website about Family Tree. It is very diffucult and it involves contacting people of our families who we haven't spoken in ages. Abort! Abort! Abort! |

14 of April of 2004 ~ Wednesday! Easter is now finished. The week before Easter we went to on holidays to Sharm el Sheik (Egypt). We went last Thursday 1st of April from Gatwick. I wasn't feeling very well because the day before I woke up with high fever and had to spend it in bed. When the time arrived to leave towards the airport I was feeling better though. Our flight lasted 5 hours. We landed in Egypt around 6pm. It was getting dark. Paul went to the toilet and he told me that men were washing their feet on the sink. On the airport, Hesham ( our tour guide ) received us. Soon afterwards, we and another couple were driven on a minibus to our hotel. The rest of the people coming in our flight were staying on a different hotel. It was pleasantly hot. When we came out of the airport, all we could see was a road, the dessert and mountains. Very pretty mountains, with high pointed tops. And the sunlight on the background. They got our suitcases on the minibus by the window. The minibus was old but had air-conditioning. There were lots of taxis. All the local people, were sitting on the pavements chatting. Nobody coming off the airport got a taxi. The hotel we stay was very pretty. The prettiest one in the area. Our room was amazing. It was the most beautiful hotel I have ever been. I like Arabic decoration very much. We had a main bedroom, living room, changing room, toilet, spare room and a balcony. We made a few friend: Assad, Hany, Mohamed Mohamed Abd-elaziz, Mohamed Hassan,etc.... In Egypt, people is not allow to drink in the street. Also the shops don't sell alcohol. When we came back we have stay at home for Easter. Last Saturday we went for a long walk with Lupe and Daffid near Lamberthurst but it didn't stop rainning, so after 4 hours we had to go to a country pub. In the evening, we went out for dinner to Sanky's in Tunbridge Wells. Sunday, we spend it in Paul's parents. In the evening, we went to the Opera House and had a drink with Virginia, Lupe, Daffid, Luisa, Rachel,etc... We spend Monday Bank Holiday at home, cutting the grass, cleaning the car,etc... |

15 of February of 2004 ~ Monday El Sabado pasado, Paul y yo hicimos parte de una ruta ciclistica. Last Saturday, Paul and I did part of route 21 of the NCN (National Cycle Network) which goes from Groombridge to East Grinstead. We just did from Groombridge to Lane Crossing. The route goes on an old train line but it is very narrow and with trees at both sides. We had a brilliant time. How pretty is the countryside! We had lunch next to a river. We were exhausted when we came back home. On the link tab, you can find the link to the route! Last Sunday I went to Brigton with Vir to a craft exhibition show. It was wicked! It is very difficult finding a car park space in Brighton and we end up parking the car in the 13th floor a storey building. I also bought round needle for knitting and now I am making a pair of warm socks for Paul to be at home, without seam of course! This week I have been away on a course for digital radios in Basingstoke. Thursday I went swimming and into the steam room. |

5 of February of 2004 ~ Wednesday! I phoned my friend Nati from Alcala last week. I haven't spoken to her for the last 3 years. I was very happy and surprise for her and Ale because they have got a baby. His name is Ale, like his father and there is a picture of him on my web. I was shopping with my sister two weeks in Oxford Circus when we were asked to fill a form to win " don't know what". Anyway, because I think this people work on commision, I decided to fill a form but only given away my mobile phone. Last week when I was on a course, someone call my mobile to congratulate me! I have won the second prize: a Makeover worth £300 for me and a friend. I was on my course, so I asked them to call me back another day. Then, last weekend, they call me back to arrange a appointment. Again, they were congratulating me. The girld said that the Makeover includes: manicure, hair cut, massages, make up,etc....and a photo session. Everything totally free apart from the photos, which I will need to purchase. Well, it was impossible to arrange an appointment because I am not coming to London unless I am working and next week I am off again to another course. So, the girl passed me their number and told me to give them a call when I am ready. A few hours later, I was talking to my sis on the phone and I mentioned to her that Makeover. She really would like a hair cut and a massage, so because she didn't have university lessons today and I was working tonight, we agreed to go today. So I arrange for both of us to have a makeover worth £300 today. This morning, before leaving my house, I phoned my sister and we spoke about what we will be wearing,etc...when I met my sister at Tottenham Court Road, we were walking to the place. She was telling me that she has made an efford to look nice, just in case, by taking some hair off her eyebrows, legs,....I was telling her that I also was thinking if to have a haircut,etc... Anyway, when we arrived there, we saw a big waiting room, full of at least 20 girls, and many more men. All between 18 and 25 and with attitude problem. The receptionist said hello. I was shocked! I explained that my sister and I had an appointment for a Makeover at 14.00. She says that they are running late, so we will have to wait a while.I suggested we will go for a coffe and will come back later. By that point I have decided we weren't coming back. Then, a man, who seems to be the organiser ( or at least, more important than the receptionist) said to us, that he was really sorry for the delay. I said to him that I wasn't sure what we were her for. The receptionish looked shocked but I was more shocked and just wanted to vanished from the place. Then, the bloke said to us that we were there for the Photo Shooting. The what? Do we look the type of people will do that...? and then, my sister said: No, No, I am here to have a hair cut. To what the man replies: " No hair cut, only stylish hair cut". At that point, my sister and l looked each other and we said: " Don't worry, we are not coming back." What a waste of time! Then we went for lunch to a Spanish restaurant near the area and instead of having a hair cut, manicure, or a massage, we were eating typical Spanish dishes: spinach with chick peas, gamba al ajillo, olives,etc... How do you write cheak peas? you know, that light brown, beige balls, not 100% round, with a little pointed thing sticking out, hard, then soft after being in water for 24 hours, cooked with chorizo.. |

1 of February of 2004 ~ Sunday! Hello! What a long time! Well, since New Year. We had a party at home.It was cool! I cannot remeber much. As I am getting older, more easily I get very drunk after one glass of wine. I don't really get drunk because I don't never have hangover but it is more like I cannot remeber much of what I did, what I said or what happened in general. I hate it! Anyway, life after Christmas went back to normal. I have a bit of shopping on the January Sale but the people who knows me really understand that I go shopping one day and the next day go back to bring everything back, so after a lot mess up with receipts and clothes, I end up with harly nothing new. Anyway, my piano is going brilliant! I am learning new pieces: La Traviata and ....and........Fur Elise! I love it! Paul is also doing very well with his guitar. I have knitted a scarf and now I am knitting a pair of red socks for Paul and I am going to try a hat! My mum send me some knitting books. I have just been back from a week course in Basingstoke. We were staying in a hotel in the town center. I went swimming Monday and Wednesday. Also into the Steam Room. I prefer steam room to saunas. I met a Spanish girl, also called Patricia, from La Coruña. She had just arrived to England and was working in the hotel. I will see her next week because I off to another week course. |

Ya casi podemos tocar Odd the Joy juntos. |

24 of December 2003 ~ Wednesday! Happy Christmas! Hoy es un dia especial en España. Aqui, no tanto. Y tambien a hacer punto. I have been off work for the last 10 days. My mum has visited us. Firstly, she spent some time with my sister in London. Then with us. I took her to the old piano shop and she bought herself one as well. She has been teaching me how to to sew using patrons and how to knit. I have been teaching her how to read music. I am now making a scarf for Paul! He says that he will wear it to work. My mum started it, so it looks great but since she left things hasn't gone so well and I have to undo most of my work everytime I give it a try. Paul has been off work as well. So we all have been buying presents for everybody and for each other. A mi me encanta dar regalos.

I really enjoy it! Menudo mosqueo me pille! Mas me mosquee, si era posible. |

11 of December 2003 - Wednesday! I have been very bussy recently. I have got problems with my gas, electricy, water supplier, with my mortgage,etc... it all seems to happens at the same time. Also getting all the Xmas decoration out. Buying presents,etc.... actually a bit stress. On December I have started playing the Women Squash League. This is new! Before there wasn't such a league, so I had to play againts men which wasn't really very exciting. If I played against an mature man, they don't like loosing againts a woman, so some of them, start stealing points or asking for LETs. If I play one of the young ones, I just try to keep away from the ball. Anyway, I played yesterday night a match and another one this morning. I won both of them. The one I played this morning was particularly interested and enjoyed myself very much! |

2 de Diciembre 2003 - Lunes! Hola de nuevo! Cuanto tiempo eh? |

14 of November 2003 - Friday! I love reading. Some people don't like working in London because of the time wasted on the journey. I love it! Sitting on a train reading a good book is brilliant! I think the trick is to spend time choosing a book on the Internet. When I am reading a good book I would like I had to commute even further away from Tunbridge Wells. My three favorites English books are: 1.- Memoirs of a Geisha - Arthur Golden 2.- English Passengers - Mathew Kneale 3.- The Aquarius of Pyongyang - Kang Chol-Hwan The first one is about a 7 year old girl from a little fishing village in Japan. Her parents are very poor so had to sold her. She is raised and educated as a geisha. If you want to know what a Geisha is, read this book. But please do not think that it is a prostitute. Geisha means "an artist" in Japanese. The second one is about the how an Irish boat, with funny character "Captain Illiam Quillian Kewley" on board, smuggling alcohol from France is discovered doing so while sailing across the English channel. The boat is brought to London. Somehow, they end up taking a scientific, a religious, a geologist,etc... on an expedition to Tasmania. What happened there, is describes by an aboriginal boy called Peevay. The third one is the story of one lucky person who survived & escaped the communist regime's prisons of North Korean. Prisons in the sense of Concentration Camps! This is a shocking book! When I go to Spain I buy some books. I don't particularly like Spanish writers. But I like reading a series of books about "El Marques de ............... can't remember" by Alfonso Ussia. Another day I would like to talk about my favorite website! |

8 of November 2003 - Saturday! Today, I am going to speak about art. I am an artist! A big artist! I create beauty! With my hands! I create beauty for your eyes! With my hands! I create beauty for your ears! With my hands! I create beauty for your taste (well, this one, not really!) I produce melodies with my piano that attract the pigeons, black birds, robins and other species of birds to my garden. They rest in their bird table to delight their ears with my music. They love it! My paints are so realistic, so natural... looking at them I lost my mind! Not to mention my cooking....... Today is Saturday and I am at work. It is dead. The phone rang this morning once and it was Paul calling for a chat! I was going to meet "me sis" for lunch, but can't be bothered! It is too cold outside! I am learning how to paint with acrylic on canvas. I love it! The part that takes me the longer is to surf during hours on the Internet deciding what to paint. At this early stage, I cannot produce my own "obras de arte" (don't know how to say this in English). Next week I have to finish two canvas I started last week. I cannot talk about them anymore because they are going to be Xmas presents. But as soon as I finish hem, I am going to try to paint a Flamenco Dancer. You can see the picture here. I downloaded it from the Internet. It has been painted by someone called Fabian Perez who has a gallery in New York (ni mas ni meno). When I finish my copy, I will scan it and will show you, so you can give your opinion. My only problem with art, is that I am not very a patient person at all. When I start something, all I am thinking about is when I am going to finish it to be able to start something else. This is not a very good quality for an artist of my category but I am working on that! I hope everybody is enjoying the weekend as much as me! Un beso. This is Pat today! |
|
Si! |

3 of November 2003 - Monday! Last Friday we arrived to London around 1pm. We went to London Towers. We did the tour for about an hour. The guide was a Welsh Army chap. Really entertaining! A Beefeaters! He told us many stories, some of them very unpleasant for me. How much cruel could it get? He said that one man didn't recognized Henry VIII so was sent to the castle as a prisoner. Through the Traitor Door. Then they will cut his head off outside the castle wall, were peasants will go to cheer up and enjoy the event. Then, they will take his head and body and hung it from London Bridge where the birds will go and pick at them. Isn't it nasty? Another story was how they kill someone with a axe. But they kept missing: first to his shoulders, then when the head was joined to the body just by the skin in the through and the person was still alive, they missed again and the axe got stack on the piece of wood where the body was resting. Well, I cannot carry on! Within the castle there is a lot to see. Much English history! We went into the Jewel House where we saw crowns and swords with a very shinning & valuable stones. I have never seem so much diamonds before! The doors of the house were metal of at least 1 meter wide. We saw ravens on the grass. They are massive black birds with a very peculiar peak. They live in the castle. You will not find that type of birds in London but I think they were imported. They live in freedom in the gardens but you could see the cages, so made me think that they are locked at night. We didn't have time to visit the dungeons and other parts because we had to go to the theatre. I tried to get tickets for a musical. We will rock you in based on Queen's music but there were no tickets left, so I got them for Fame. This musical is horrible! The worst ever! It is for kids! Very bad acting and rubbish music! We really found it difficult to see through it! Anyway, from there we went for dinner to Soho. I had mussels and seabream. Then a nice banana cake with vanilla ice-cream! Then to bed in a hotel next to Paul's office. Near Bank Station! On the Saturday, we got a boat to Greenwich from London Towers Pier. The boat trip was fantastic! The guide told us stories and how things used to be in the past along the river. We passed Canary Wharf. That area is becoming amazing! He told us that the Thames has been voted this year the cleanest commercial river in Europe and has more than 150 different species of fishes. On the river we could see another type of bird, also back, that only eat fish. I cannot remember its name. In Greenwich we visit the Maritime museum. We saw the clothes that Horatio Nelson was wearing when he died fighting against French and Spanish. We could see the bullet on his jacket. We went to the observatory and saw the Cutty Sack! On Saturday night we were back home. We were really lucky with the weather during our short holidays in London. On Sunday, the weather was horrible. Very windy & raining. So I stay at home the whole day. Paul went to play football in the morning while I was doing some cleaning. I cooked a tortilla to make sandwiches for work. Then in the afternoon I was painting a canvas. Paul was playing PlayStation. Once in bed, we started watching a program about murders and I got so scared that I could not sleep. Then when we switched off the light I could heard someone breathing deeply. I asked Paul if he was breathing and he says that it was the neibourgh. Our neibourg has recently started to do homework at 11pm. He was doing something like sandpaping the wall opposite to our bed. Anyway, I didn't go to sleep until pass midnight and I had to sleep with the light on! Today Monday, I am at work! |

24 of October 2003 - Friday! I was off Wednesday and Thursday. And do you know what I have been doing? Nothing important or stressfull. On Wednesday I took the car for the MOT. Half an hour later, the garage calls me to tell me that my car hasn't passed the MOT and I need to replace a tyre. This costs me £90. Anyway, the rest of the day, I spend it sawing at home. With all the radiators on, wearing my pijama and sleepers while it was freezing and rainning outside. I bought some material, which wasn't speacially cheap. Sort of a pink velvet. I wanted to make a dress for me. Just simple dress with front pockets of different colours. It seems easy enough for me but I called my mum in case she could give me some advise but she didn't call me back in the next 30 minutes, so I lay the material on the dinning table and put my denin skirt and a t-shirt on top (what it was meant to look like a dress) and there you go.....I cut the material. It didn't work! Now I know that I need the patrons, which basically it is no more than a drawing on a piece of paper that helps you to cut the material. So by the time my mum called me, I was getting a handbag out of what it was going to be my cool dress! So now I have got a beatifull pink velvet handbag. Conclusion: Making a handbag is easier than making a dress! I was also playing piano. I have started a new tune. I can play quite well now the Swan Lake, so I have started Blue Danube. Then, yesterday morning, I went to buy more material to saw a bag for my sister. It is red with a luminous green pocket with white spots. Really nice! If you look at it closely enough you can see lots of mistakes but it is ok! I am at work now and she is coming to pick it up. Hopefully, she will like it! I have spent my two days off this week at home. I really needed to be cosy, alone and at home. It has been really nice! Today I am working days. I have got a cold and last night didn't sleep much. Tomorrow Saturday and Sunday I am working nights. |

October 2003 Well, well, well...I am back! I know, I have been very good at keeping up with my diary but the people that knows me, know that I am not a very constant person and often get bored of things. However, I am still very enthusiastic about learning My Piano. I am progressing little by little. Now, I can play Swan Lake. Just a short and easy version of it but enough to motivate me. I really love it! Norah has told me that I haven't got much rythem. She played some of the songs on my book and they sound completely different. From that day, I got a bit disappointed so at the moment, I am learning songs which I know how they are meant to sound like. Just recently I started learning Japanese but I have now dropped it. It is too dificult and nobody speaks it anyway!. I have also started painting. I would like to paint on canvas but at the moment, they are not very cheap, so I am getting some practise with wood paper. I am using acrilic paint but I like mixturing it with water. I think that I would have been better off getting watercolurs but I didn't have a clue about what I was buying. So far, I have painted 2 dogs for Lupe and a clown. I will scan the clown and will show you. It is wicked! Mind you, what I am doing is colouring really, because I actually used tracing paper to copy the cartoons. But you never know, maybe one day, I will get an inspiration.........talking about inspirations....this summer in Paris, we went to the Lovre Museum and saw the Mona Lisa. It is tiny! The size of a 24" monitor. All that spectation just for that! I wasn't impressed by it! Since June (last time I wrote anything to you), not much has happened. Paul and I went back on holidays to Skiathos (Greece) at the beggining of June. We loved that island. On August we went to Paris to the Athletic Word Championships. And just recently we spend one day in Cambridge with Bert. We were punting in the river. Cambridge is a very pretty town. But not as pretty as Tunbridge Wells. Eddie is not at work tonight. Craig is not very talkative, so I have got more time to myself. When Eddie is around, he is normally speaking. Telling stories and funny things, so I just sit and listen to him. Ah! I got a bicycle for Paul's 30th birthday, so now we go everywhere in Tunbridge Wells cycling! It is fantastic! Sometimes when you come back from work, it is pleasant just to ride your bike for a while on the cold evenings! Talking about the weather, we had had the best summer ever! In fact, it has been a bit too hot sometimes. If next year is like this one, we may consider going to Cornwall. Pretty Conrwall! Newquay,Padstow & St Ives. St Ives like the butter! Hey People! I've recently read an amazing book which I recommend you all to read. Its title is " Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden. Fantastic! Now, I am reading a book about a Nigerian chilhood. It is not really catching me! It goes a bit too much about religion...... I was reading a fantastic book but Paul told me that he wanted to read it after me, so when I was on page 60 I was feeling the pressure of someone else waiting for you to finish a book. You know what I mean. Well, I stopped then!. Paul is reading it now and as soon as he finishes it, I will start it again. It is the history of a North Koream who has escaped from the country just recently. It is going to be amazing!!!! |

Thursday 15 of May
Yesterday I built my web. Today I am working on it and uploading some pictures. I have asked my best friend Virginia to send me a picture of herself.
I have a new piano. It is not really new. It is 11o years old. It is beatiful! I don't know how to play the piano but with Paul's help I am giving it a try. It sounds silly but I just bought it for decoration. I love decoration!
Yesterday night, we were playing The Blue Danebe Waltz!. Paul has told me that we are not allow to play the piano after 10pm.
It is naughty! We live on a semidetached house and our neibourghs have two young children. But I am thinking about 6/7 months ago when they bought a drum and I was going mad!
Anyway, I will not play after 10pm as I have been told! Good Girl!
Tomorrow Friday I am not working! Yupi! I will try to work on my Web a bit more but unfortunally my Internet Access from Home is.....is not very fast!
This weekend Paul and I have invited Steve and Vanessa for dinner on Saturday! They haven't confirmed that they are coming yet! Otherwise, I would like to rent My Fast Greek Weeding. My mum has told me that it is a funny film. I am also looking forward to see a Spanish Film called " En el Sur de Granada". it isn't on DVD yet but I will keep an eye. It is about an English boy who goes to live to a little village in Granada with is not very develop and .....!
Now, I am going to send an e-mail to my friends with the link to my web. See what they say!
So far only Sarah has replied to me. She said that I am a small version of my mum! Sarah used to work in my office but now has gone to work to another office within the same company! She is going on holidays to Yarthmont or something like that soon!
Soon is my birthday. I have asked Paul to get a pair of luminous pink shoes. They are cool!
Friday 16 of May
It looks like the original digital photos are clearer than the ones which were scaned. Desafortunamene, yo no tengo una camara digital. Unfortunally, I haven't got a digital camera! All I have is an Instant Camera which cost me £2 en Boots.
Some people are wondering why my web address doesn't start with WWW. This is because I haven't paid for a domain which will cost me £10 a year.
By the way, can anybody remind me how to write the "ene" (which a Spanish letter which is not in the English Keyboard). Cheers! Gracias!
Saturday 17 of May
It is 8 o’clock in the morning. Paul is sleeping.
Yesterday, Vir and I went for a drink to The Opera House after she finished work. Paul joined us for a little while, then Luisa who has just arrived to England.
Vir and I were talking about our “Biological Clock” ticking. We are getting old and neither of us has the remotest desire to have children yet. We enjoy life too much as it is! Maybe when were are 40!
Vir said that with my ISP (which is Mad-as-a-Fish) I am entitle to a Domain. It is included in my monthly payment. I am going to investigate this. With a domain, she says that I can have sections where people can write things, send pics, etc…and can be seen by us all. So everybody participate! That will be ideal!
Today Vanessa and Steve are coming for dinner. Vanessa has a friend of hers visiting from London, so she is coming as well. Vanessa is going to bring her Piano Book. The idea of the piano started with Vanessa Strauss. She wanted a piano desperately and Steve got her one for Xmas. Then I saw her beautiful piano, and guess what?…I wanted one as well. She is taking piano lessons, so will be able to give me some tips. I cannot comprehend how can anybody play piano doing different things with both hands at the same time.
Paul’s sister Norah is a pianist. Next time I see her, I will ask her to give me some lessons. Also I would love to see how she plays the Blue Danube. Vanessa said to me last night that she can also play with both hands. Mind you, she is a Strauss!
I had had a dream/nightmare last night! And this is true. Over Easter Paul and I went to the New Forest. While I was driving, someone took a picture of us. How nice! On my dream, I was at home on my own, when someone knocked on the door. I opened the door and it was a chap delivering a big family pizza box. He came in and stamped the pizza box in the kitchen and asked me to sign the delivery confirmation. On my nightmare, I hadn’t ordered a pizza, so what was in the box?
A PHOTO AND A £50 FINE FOR DRIVING AT 38 MILES/HR WHEN THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 30 MILES/HR!!!!!!!
I am not joking, one day I know I am going to receive this surprise on the post.
Paul has now gone to Spanish lessons. I had had to do his homework. Cheet! Juana, his Spanish teacher, must think he is her best pupil.
I have waken up.Paul is playing Playstation with James in the living room. Last night we had dinner with Steve, Vanessa, Cristina and James. Paul cooked nice dinner and we drank tons of wine.Vanessa can play piano with both hands.
It is brilliant! I have included a page called "Guessbook" where now everybody can write what they want. Please please behave yourself!
Yesterday I friend visited us from London and we went to Rye which a pretty town near the coast, full of antiques shops. I was looking for a Piano Chair but didn't see a single one.
Then we visited some castle, I cannot remeber the name, what was the name Paul?
I have managed to get those pictures on the web now. I am trying now to get a few more things working.
Miercoles 21 of May 2003
I am at work. Doing a Night Shift. It is 3 o'clock in the morning and I am absolutely nackered! is that how you write "tired"?
I would die for being in bed now! That is the thing, when you are working at night.....I can tell you.....you can close your eyes and all you see is your bed!
I love arriving home in the morning. Cup of tea and BED!!!!! I cannot sleep straight away, so I watch a bit of telly. Normally Kill-Roy or Trisha.
I am a bit bored of my web now. As I was telling Vir earlier I thing that "This is it!". The novelty is finished. Probably the same will happen to me with the piano and next week I will be wasting my time with something else.
The BBC weather forecast is given a black cloud with a lightning strike for Saturday and a white cloud hidden the sun for Sunday. I am planning to have a BBQ next Sunday but the way things going, we'll be better off under a roof.
Friday 23 of May
No BBQ! It is rainning! Instead Paul is taking me out for a romantic dinner!
Tonight we are going to London for Norah's birthday (Paul's sis). We are going for dinner to a Japanese restaurant. Japanese? What do they Japanese eat? I'll tell you tomorrow.
Tomorrow Bert is coming. I am going to show him pretty Tunbridge Wells. Then we are going to have dinner with Vir and will go out for a drink.
Last night, Paul went out for his Leaving Drink. He is starting a new job on Monday.
I was at home on my own, so rented "My Fat Greek Weeding". Fabulous! It is a very good film. I really recommended everybody, specially to people like me, who knows the characteristics of a Mediterranean culture. I have watched it this morning again and really enjoy it!
I have practising a lot with my piano. I have learn: semibreve, crotchets, minins, bass clef, and the other cleff which I cannot remember. Now, I can used 2 octets of the keyboard, using the right finger. But still lots to practise.
I would love one day, to be able to play on the piano "Unchained Melody" by Righteous Brothers. In another words, the soundtrack of "Ghost".
Wednesday 28 of May
Here I am again! Last weekend was a long weekend. On Friday we went for a Japanese. They eat raw fish which I did try but did not like it. Then we went for a Karaoke!
Last Monday was a Bankholiday. Paul didn't take me to a romantic dinner but to something better.
El lunes fue dia de fiesta aqui. Por mi cumple, Paul no me llevo a una cena romantica sino a algo mejor.
We went to Longleat Safari Park en Wiltshire. That is a big field with animals around. You drive around the area and never leave the car. There were: monkeys, giraffes, llamas, hippos, lions, tigers. wolfs, dears, camels, dromedaries, etc.... To me the most funny part was where the monkeys were. They keep jumping on the cars and pulling all the gadgets. The monkeys specially like those 4x4 cars, the "Monsters" and the luminous cars (us is boring blue). So the first time we drive around them, not a single one jumped on our car. Very disappointed! Above all, when all other cars had lots of them. So we drove again around their area. This time we were more lucky and ONE jumped on the bonnet. He looked straight into our eyes. How ugly he was! Paul managed to take a picture of him. I will show you it one day!
After that, we went to Cheddar Caves in Somerset. The caves are amazing! Inside the caves it is not cold which I thought it would. We did not get any cheese as it tasted the same as the one we get in Sainsbury! Then we drove back, together with the other 50.000 cars coming back to London after the Bank Holiday weekend! I had a brilliant day!
By the way, I have learned all the English Counties on the south coast from east to west. These are: Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwell. I think so. I will check with Paul again! So you can now congratulate me!
Paul has started his new job. At the moment, all he is doing is reading. Apparently he is not going to be able to get home as early as he used to.
For my birthday, Norah & Khalid got me a Piano Book. I really wanted one. It is my First Piano Book! One day, when I am a famous pianist, I will left this book for the RSPCA to make money by selling it! This is really funny, Virginia gave my present last Saturday! I opened it and did not have a clue what it was! It was a small box with the shape of an Amby Pur Air Freshener (do you remember? Those triangular ones). So, even though I did not have a clue what it was, I said "Thank you " to Vir. Then she said that it was a Nanometer. Do you know what is a Nanometer? I didn't then.
Now, I love the gadget. It is exactly what I needed and I didn't even know that it existed. A nanometer is an instrument which helps you get the rhythm when playing piano. I need it as much as una barita magica. Como se dice barita magica en ingles? Magic bar. Don't think so! |

ve 2 of June 2003 Ah! The gadget for my piano is not called a Nanometer but a Metronomo. Sorry! For my birthday, Paul got me seat for the car. It gives heat and massage! The only problem is that it doesn't work. He got it from the Internet, so now it has to go back. He also got a size 9 sleepers. At home, I am always wearing his because being bigger then mine are more Comfortable when wearing thick socks. Last weekend we haven't hardly leave the house. We have enjoy each other company. On Friday night I went out with Vir and Rosa. Rosa is Vir's friend. She used to leave in T.Wells but now she leaves in Spain with her English boyfriend. On Saturday we got our holidays sort it for Skiathos in July. Then we were gardening at home. It was boiling! We had some food on the BBQ. At night, we stay in. Rented a couple of films which Paul liked quite a lot. Unfortunately I did not enjoy Jacky Cham fighting so much! I prefer romance, drama, love, etc....! On Sunday we finally got our boiler repaired! For the last year it has been making a horrible noise which was waking us up at 6 in the morning. A ten minutes job and fixed it! Now we can sleep in peace. We got a few other thing done at home, you know, general maintenance. I have met my sis for lunch today. She bought me a red trousers for my birthday and we have gone to change them for white. I also got a summer pair of shoes. They are white. Anyway, I haven't much to say. I am improving quite a lot with my piano. Paul and I are learning together. I have bought a Elton John music book. I just love it! Once I have a Microphone and practice a bit more I will be able to play and sign "Candle in the wind" or "Philadelphia Freedom" at the same time as playing the CD on the stereo and nobody will be able to tell the difference. My sister and Arturo work on a Treatre in Central London. This week it has started a new play! Morden version of Shakespeare! My sys was telling me how boring it is and how people are leaving before the end or how they don't know when to clap because they are not following the play. Ridiculous funny! |
