The Peakers Stroll starts and finishes at The Reading Room, Peak Forest on the A623 (Grid Ref. 113 793). Walkers leave between 9.30 and 10.00am and Runners leave between 11.30 and 12 noon. Anyone registering on the day please arrive 1 hour before your start time.
If you wish to take a dog with you PLEASE keep them on a lead. Support vehicles are on hand in case of any incidents and cold drinks are available at check points. Sandwiches and hot drinks are available at check point 4 (approx. half way round the 25 mile route), donations towards the cost of these refreshments are very much appreciated.
Check in slips and route maps will be provided on the day (OS Map no. 1 Dark Peak and no.24 White Peak). There are trophies for the 1st and 2nd placed runners and all walkers will be entered into a prize draw. All finishers for all distances will receive a certificate. Soup, rolls and sweets at the finish are included in the entry fee.
A large area is provided for car parking, and we would politely request that you do not use The Devonshire Arms car park.
The entry fee is £6.50 per person and the entry form can be located in the menu on the left hand side.
