·        Audited accounts – this is to be done in the next two weeks by RIG

 

  1. Secretary’s report
    1. Sign post – initial response is promising with a new post to be erected early 2003.
    2. Police – are going to respond to our concerns about speeding. 
    3. West End farm response to go into the planning people on Thursday 19th.
    4. Meeting on 29th Nov with roads dept was very successful, with a variety of small jobs already undertaken by South Lanarkshire.  We are now awaiting the letter confirming more major details from Alan Cunningham.
    5. SLC Roads dept has raised concerns about the hedges in the area that are protruding onto the roads.  These are the house holder’s responsibility and could lead to the council implementing their right to fix hedges and fine individuals concerned
    6. Landfill application on hold until the New Year.

 

  1. Treasurer’s Report
    1. Tennis club has asked for £20 per hour for the hall.  After negotiation between Iain and Neil Cruickshank we would pay £10 per meeting.
    2. Mr Bryce – still has not returned to give a more accurate invoice.
    3. Treasurer waiting for the invoices for the local inquiry costs.  These are now due to be submitted.   Discussion 7pm Iain’s house 12th January 2003

    1. Other Planning Applications

1.      West End Farm – application now changed to 8 houses.  Reply due 19th Dec

    1. Scottish Water looking at using wind energy to power Philipshill Sewage Works.  George to contact and ask to be kept informed.
    2. Peel News to go out early in New Year.  Look at Email for distribution.
