5. Matters Arising

·        Dowie Memorial – Bench now ordered due to be delivered in June.  Those attending the meeting requested that the bench be situated at the tennis club hut.

6. Secretary’s Report
1. Road speed signs now in operation at two parts of Peel Road.  Meeting proposed to contact police to monitor speed, as signs have made no visible difference.
2. AGM of Scottish Community Councils, Sat 12^th June
3. Info provided by Scottish Water on charging scheme.  M West replied.
4. Rights of appeal consultation – ongoing
5. Scottish Parliamentary Opening Ceremony – Margaret Mitchell invited JTCC to nominate someone to go.  A name will be drawn from a hat at random

7. Treasurer’s Report
1. Accounts are now finalised and audited.  A copy has been sent to Margaret Armstrong to get this year’s grant.

9. AOB
1. GSO – update

1.      Next progress meeting scheduled for 17^th June. GG will not be able to attend.

2.      Diversion using Barbana Road in place of Redwood has started for indefinite period. Top of Braehead Road is closed.

3.      A 726 main road will again be closed, overnight only – 8pm to 6 am, for weekend (four nights) 21^st to 25^th May (depending on progress). Diversion is along Jackton / Eaglesham Road (B764) to Eaglesham and then to Sheddens.

4.      Thornton Road will remain closed until August at least.

2. West end farm looks like a tip.  Meeting suggested that the local councillor be contacted to ask of there was anything they could do.
3. Stewart Milne have asked if we would be interested to visiting their HQ to discuss their plans and bring a copy back for the community.

10. Planning Application
1. Other Planning Applications

1.      Land Fill at Jackton  - No progress to date.

2.      Jackton – 348 Eaglesham Road ongoing. No feed back as yet

3.      Communications mast at Thornton Farm – no feed back yet.

4.      Outline planning application from Stewart Milne for Bogton Site – drawings requested by GG

5.      Laigh Braehead drawings differ from Cala’s undertaking to Scotways.  Letter sent to SLC awaiting reply.
