METHIL

Methil has had  a reputation since the middle of last century of being the best harbour on the south coast of Fife.  Its primary role was  in the exporting of coal. During both World Wars this large commercial harbour was an important centre for the North Sea Fleet. It is now dominated by a large North Sea oil drilling rig fabrication yard.
