Headlines Reds Linked With Sullivan Deal Gus Poyet has ended speculation about his future by signing for spurs in a deal believed to be just over £1 million. Liverpool had been linked to the Uruguayan International. Reds linked with Sullivan deal Liverpool have been linked with a move for Tottenham goalkeeper Neil Sullivan. The Scottish number 1 would cost in the region of £8 million, a world record for a goalkeeper. Gerard Houllier is reported to be chasing the signature of Croatian hot-shot Bosko Balaban as he looks to add a fourth striker to his Reds squad. With Finnish ace Jari Litmanen earmarked to drop back into midfield, Houllier is keen to add a fourth striker to his squad, and has been linked with a host of players including David Trezeguet and Dwight Yorke. Reports in the tabloids suggest that Houllier will decide this week whether or not to make an offer to out-of-contract Barcelona skipper Josep Guardiola. The 30-year-old is keen to leave the Catalan club to move to the Premiership, although it remains to be seen whether Houllier's interest is strong enough to match the midfielder's £80,000-a-week wage demands. |
