The Haiti Fund is addressing these problems initially by working closely with Haitian schools in the north of the country. As well as the provision of basic resources, The Haiti Fund (supported by the National Lottery Charities Board) is sending teachers from Wales in the UK to work in the country alongside local people to help develop the skills necessary for their needs. This partnership is proving as much of a learning experience for the teachers from Wales as for the Haitian pupils and staff.
