Lesson Information
I take pupils from age 7 to 70, who may be working towards exams, or just for the pleasure of playing!

I like everyone to enjoy their lessons and their practice sessions, so I try to find styles and pieces that are fun to play, and pleasurable to listen to - especially as parents have to hear them played over and over and over.........!

The theoretical side of music is covered as we go along - we discuss key signatures, time signatures, note values, accidentals etc. The younger ones play “The Smartie Game” which they all look forward to!

Lessons are currently Ł7.50 for 35 minutes, which may be paid weekly, or in advance monthly, half-termly or termly. Dates of lessons run almost as school terms, except for half-weeks at the beginning and end of term.

If you need to cancel a lesson, please ring me as soon as possible, and there will be no charge. If, however, you don’t turn up for your lesson, then I’m afraid I will have to charge you.

Please remember to bring a notebook with you, and any music you are currently playing or would like to learn. Those who are just starting to learn the keyboard can use my instrument, but as they advance it is useful if they bring their own, as the backing rhythms vary so much.

Daily practise is important - just five or ten minutes each day is far more
beneficial than 40 minutes once a week! It often helps to get into the routine of practising at the same time each day. If, as may happen occasionally, you have not been able to practise
as much as you should, just tell me!
