LESSON
1. Make a drawing of a song.( Homework ).
This could illustrate the song's lyrics, or title, as a whole or in part.
Your drawing could be totally abstract. Music after all is abstract by nature.
The painter Kandinsky said that, when he heard music, he saw colours in his mind.

2. Now pose with your friends in dance positions.
Take it in turns to make 5 minute drawings of each other.
7BS
Turn your paper around as you go, so that in your finished drawing, your people are in alternate directions.
Concentrate on the figure's outlines and proportions only.
After you have make your sketches, rub out any over lapping lines, so that only the outlines remain.
3. Now either draw your song inside, or outside, the outline of your figures.
Then fill the remaining space in your picture with abstract colours and shapes that are related to your song's music.

Here are examples of the figures treated in a purely abstract manner.
