1. Look at some examples of stained glass.
 
Stain glass inside the Statue of Liberty's torch
There are plenty examples around, from Medieval times to the present day.
2. Now create your own design for a stained glass.First, draw a picture that is made only of basic outlines. Then divide up areas of your image with straight lines to create patches. Colour these patches with watercolours. If several patches are of one colour, make each patch a different shade of that colour. You may want to tidy up your picture by outlining the patches with a black felt tip, once your painting is dry.
