Mlawska Kolej Dojazdowa was built in 1915 in time the First World War. This railway, similarly as other polish narrow trains was used for transport soldiers and ammunition to the war front. Thanks to German soldiers, line join a few towns like Mlawa, Przasnysz, Pasieki. After finish war, polish railways department extended line to the next towns: Ciechanow and Grudusk. For 70 years, Mlawska Kolej Dojazdowa had transported people and cargo, but in 90’s narrow railway had big problems. People wanted travel by bus, but local companies used road transport. This bad situation caused that Mlawska Kolej Dojazdowa hadn’t got customers. In 2002 local government tried to restore traffic but to this time Mlawska Kolej Dojadowa is still close. We are hoping, because SKPL will want open railway to transport cargo and tourists.
