Hi folks - welcome to my distro / label page. I run a small Punk and Ska label from the U.K and help finance it by selling records from other labels. This is just a page to perhaps reach a few more potential customers. Maybe you're just a surfer who's come across this by accident, so maybe I might get you interested in what is a friendly music scene.

Well, anyway, check out some of the stuff I have for sale and maybe buy something. You'd really help me out 'cos I don't actually make any money - I release records for bands I like and just try to get my money back.

First things first....The distro is now called ROCK 'EM DEAD but the label remains as POTATOE PRINT RECORDS.

Okay...who saw THE PEAWEES on their recent UK tour? Well, they had a great time...even if some of the turnouts at the gigs were a little low. The Boston and Llandudno gigs went down a storm. Seems that the people in the small sleepy towns have no inhibitions when it come to enjoying themselves.

THE NORMA JEANS have spit up. That's a real loss to punk rock'n'roll in this contry. A vastly underrated band with one of the best guitarist around. Ciaron, the bassist and vocalist, has decided that family and work come before punk rock. He is however continuing to work on a 2 CD multimedia package about the history of that great band THE DICKIES. Best luck to him. However, Bryan, the guitarist has loads of songs he'd written for the next album. He maybe going to record these with EASTFIELD/NORMA JEANS/RAGGITY ANNE drummer Paul Raggity and bassist Ant Raggity. Could be excellent stuff.

LUBBY NUGGET recently released their debut album on MOON SKA RECORDS. It's one hell of a great record and nicely packaged too. I can't recommend this highly enough. There's a nice SUBLIME style trying to creep into this SKANKIN PICKLE / VOODOO GLOWSKULL SOUND that they pull off so well.

POTATOE PRINT RELEASES

THE WRITE-OFFS / HOMEBREW split 7" (£2-25) I only have the Limited Edition Green Vinyl left and there ain't too many of those left. Why did all the black go first? Is it only me and Rich Speedowax (Speedowax records) that are anal retentive record collecting assholes? The Write-offs play Ska and Punk. The first track on this is the hardest-fastest punk rant in their repetoire. It's an anti-McDonalds song called McF**k and is a real killer. Their second is a slow Ska thing with some great sax. Homebrew are basically drunk-punx that get them compared to CHAOS UK. Real nice guys that shout a lot about drinking.

COMPILATION 7" (£2-25) 4 great bands here! 2 pop-punkers, FUNBUG and SWAKTANG, very catchy and singalong and very bouncy. EASTFIELD are a agit-pop punk band with great lyrics and lots of vocal harmonies that remind me of CHUMBAWUMBA though I don't know why. The last band here are LUBBY NUGGET. A great scoop for me. They've got a SKANKIN PICKLE / VOODOO GLOWSKULLS Ska thing going on, though this leans more to the punk side of things. The brass section is amazing!!! These guys will be big!

Just out now - THE NORMA JEANS / THE PEAWEES - split 7" Real punk-rock'n'roll stuff. If you like the DICKIES, RAMONES, RANCID or CLASH you shouldn't miss this one. The PEAWEES come in all quiffed up hair, leather jackets, pack of Lucky Strikes (no filter) rolled up in the sleeve of their collective t-shirts a la James Dean. Flick knifes and guitars cutting the air, ready to rock yer ass off. The NORMA JEANS rock it up too. They look like the PEAWEES older brother. Been there ... Done that! Pounding drums like Jerry Nolan (RIP) was still with us...dual vocal harmonies...guitar licks that Chuck Berry would kill for and Johnny Thunders (RIP) could play in his heyday! I am so proud to have these two bands release something on my label!!! Buy this!!!

#PINTO / GAMEFACE split 7" (£2-00) PINTO are British skate punks...skate-punk hardcore... GAMEFACE...you don't know who GAMEFACE are !?! Buy this record now!

#TURTLEHEAD - I Prefered Their Earlier Stuff ... Pic Disc LP (£4-00) Their classic album now licensed out to SPEEDOWAX and printed as a Ltd Edition Picture Disc. I only have two copies so E-mail to reserve. CHECK OUT THAT PRICE!!!! Lovely!

THE 'TONE / THE URCHIN split 7" (£2-25) See below for a description of the 'TONE...same stuff...two new tracks THE URCHIN are Japanese pop-punk. Another great TONE split!!!! It's gonna go fast kids!

THE 'TONE / ANNALISE split 7" (£2-25)

You know the 'Tone...and if you don't then you should be ashamed of yourself. Punk Rock 'n' Roll...anthemic singalongs...remember when you were 10...in front of the bedroom mirror pretending a tennis racket was a guitar...singing along...jumping around. This stuff still has the same effect and I'm 31!!! ANNALISE is tuneful pop-punk that really rips! I think this is limited to 500 copies and I only have 3...so don't hang about.

TEENAGE MUTANT PUNK ROCK ZOMBIES FROM OUTER SPACE V/A 7" (£2-00) PEAWEES/NORMA JEANS/DESTRUCTOS/RED FLAG 77 ... punk rock'n'roll on snot green wax.

Okay...Hands up who's into Ramones style three minute pop-punk tunes. Well have I just had the shit that you'll love! Got a load of stuff posted to me from Italy. Do those guys know how to do that Ramones / Queers / Screeching Weasel stuff or what...?

#THE PEAWEES - THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL CD (£6) It's those guys again...punk rock'n'roll on this, their second LP...If anyone has a copy of their first then please get in touch...can't find it anywhere!

#STINKING POLECATS / HOME ALONE split 7" (2-25) If you caught the Stinking Polecats on their recent UK tour, then you'll know that this is punk rock'n'roll to make you dance. Like they say in their song...'Joey Ramone is one of Us!' HOME ALONE...more of the same.

#STINKING POLECATS - "LOVE!?" 7" (£2-00) Seven trax of early Polecats...just the same old danceable stuff!!! Only got three copies of this...

#RETARDED - "SATURDAY NIGHT I WANNA GO TO THE SHOW" 7" (£2-25) Think RIVERDALES... More RAMONES inspired pop-punk

#RETARDED - "JUDY WANTS TO BE MY GIRL" 7" (£2-25) More of the above...These records come in cool covers. I love Italian seven inches.

And here's a re-release that you really need if you love all that pop-punkness...

RAGGITY ANNE - RASCAL SOUP (Please Sir can I have more..? CD (£6) What a collection...23 trax that cover this classic UK pop-punk band's 'career'...a great introduction if you don't have anything by them already and a must if you're a completist. 4 trax from their 1994 self release "Now we're in Debt" The whole of the original "Rascal Soup" LP 3 trax from two early demos...and 3 unreleased cover songs..."YMCA" being one of them...

ROAD RAGE - PAINLESS SUICDE 7" (£2-25) 4 trax of ull on fast thrashy punk. If you're into that 80's GBH style you might like these. They're much more tuneful tho'.

#RADIKALKUR / EMS split 7" (£2-25) This is a couple of Austrian bands. One is slightly dodgy 80's anarchist punk but EMS, wowwww! If you're into Hardcore you'll love these. The production is amazing. Time changes, syncopated rhythms and some weird RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE giutar noises hiding in the mix. Brilliant!

HELVIS 7" EP (£2-25) Frightening!!! This has de-tuned garage and Hardcore and god knows what in it. There are 5 trax on this but you'll never get through all 5 in one listen. They've got something here and it's on the scary side of disturbing. Only the brave should buy this!!!

PMT - P****D MOUTHY TROLLOPS 7" (£2-25) This is on the same label as HELVIS so that gives you an idea. They're 4 girls who give the boys as good as they get. They're rude, sexy, scary and sound like a female version of the RAMONES who've had too much cider.

ACTIVE MINDS - NATIONAL LOTTA E 7" (£1-75) If you know your political punk then you'll already be aware of these guys. 8 trax of thrashy tuneful political punk. Good printed booklet with lyrics and explanations.

ACTIVE MINDS - I'M NOT A TOURIST...I LIVE HERE 7" (£1-75) Much of the same as above...but 9 trax instead of 8!!!!

EASY MEAT - DANCE WITH ME RIGSBY 7" (£1-00) Garage Indie. This sounds a bit like THE FALL meets THE CRAMPS. Nothing too special...strange and listenable.

THE SHITS - 10 track 7" (£2-00) From ITALY ... in the same ball park as THE QUEERS and THE AUTOMATICS.

EASTFIELD - "Come to Bevland" 7" - (£2-00) On their own label...catchy punk with intelligent lyrics.

#NERVOUS TENSION - LIFE'S A BITCH CD (£5) One left only - E-MAIL to reserve Fast, thrashy, tight HardCore in an AGNOSTIC FRONT kinda way. Great guitar and tribal like drumming. 17 trax of UK HC at it's best.

EASTFIELD - KEEP IT SPIKEY CD (£5) Full length from EASTFIELD on their own label. Brilliant lyrics. Good production and toe-tappingly singalongy punk rock with some tuneful pop thrown in. Check out the review in FRACTURE #10 (see links)... if you don't believe how good this CD is.

#THE NEW WAVE OF CHAS AND DAVE - V/A CD (£5) The unique genius of CHAS 'N' DAVE as presented by ... THE BUS STATION LOONIES,CHESTER,EASTFIELD, THE BLUE MINKIES, WAT TYLER, ANAL BEARD, AGE OF CHAOS, THE NORMA JEANS Some seriously good cover versions here...punk rock banjos and pianos and shouting and a rite ol' knees up muvver braan... Check it out just for the WAT TYLER Drum and Bass version of 'Rabbit'

All the 7" are as priced or £6 FOR ANY THREE. All the CDs are as priced or £13 FOR ANY THREE. All prices include postage within the UK. You can pay by cheque or Postal Order made out to Mark Veitch or by sending well concealed cash. I won't rip you off but my postman maybe saving up for his holiday so... Obviously a five pound note is better concealed than four pound coins, four twenties and a handful of coppers. Europe and the States and anywhere else I'll need to work out prices.
