Opened in September 2001 by Battle of Britain pilot Peter Ayerst.

 

It tells the storey of Ramsgate's war and the people who took part in it. Part of it look at my father's storey.

called One Man's war. it tells of his wartime service in the Fire Service.

Also the Battle of Britain Collection.

The Museum is open to groups, parties, schools and members of the public who would like to make an appointment, on 01843 594213. There is NO charge.

BLITZ WALKS

You can relive those dark days of Ramsgate's war on a Ramsgate Blitz Walk. hear the stories. see where it took place. Take a walk around the U.K.s most heavily bombed seaside town. These are FREE walks and start from Ramsgate public Library every Friday at 7.oo p.m. May to the end of August. walks at other times by appointment.

We visit clubs, schools etc with our renactment group called Summer of 40.to bring to life the people of 1940.

We are also members of the U.K. Tank club.
