The North Star, Mardley Hill.
The North Star is a large McMullen pub located on the Great North Road, in Mardley Hill, just south of Woolmer Green. The sizeable pub is open all day for food and drink, and offered a 2 for 1 meal-deal at the time of our visit. The North Star had the honour of marking the PGC's 50th anniversary, which was commemorated by a snowball fight in the car park.
