Here we reach the Shannow trilogy which moves backwards and forwards throughout time. In all three novels the main part of it takes place in the future where the world has toppled on its axis and the survivors are in the end times. Their current state of technology extends to what can best be equated to the Old West where guns are available. Here the central character not only saves his own world from the Hellborn but also saves it from Pendarric's legions thus causing the first fall of the world (the great flood as described in the bible) The third book in this trilogy sees Shannow battling with the Bloodstone a Sarento from an alternate reality who took the power of the Motherstone into his body in order to heal himself.

Well put together, brilliantly twisted to fit together and for me the whole series has brought many hours of reading pleasure. I also love the way that you seem to notice new things each time you read them and piece new material together for future novels in the series.
