Total Excitement!
I'm also adding a more detailed version of the Rasmus Road Trip - keep checking back as i add more and more to me site :D

Gotta go now!

Monday 7th February

Well i haven't long got back from Japan - what a trip that was!! Am still jet lagged... *meh* But i was back to work today some shape....

Tokyo was a lovely city, very busy and just like London in a way. I definately felt like a foreigner while i was there.
Nagoya and Osaka were a lot more laid back... and much more at my pace. I wish i had been able to stay there longer, would have loved to have visited the Kareoke place for longer than we did ;)

Going to see Colour of Fire in York Fibbers this weekend coming.. cannot wait :D YAY!! And seeing Helen and Leah again! *PARTY*

What a weekend!!!!!
Friday was great fun in Lynn's... Sake and Rasmus, Negative and 69 Eyes... yay!!! Party!
Saturday morning... quick trip upto Nottingham, collected KT and Hannah and made our way to York!
Meet up with Helen and had lunch and then went to see Colour of Fire - what a gig! They totally rocked!! And the support band "Sixty 6" were really good as well!!  I must keep my eyes open for them!!

I was all set to come home on sunday and the "ignition barrel" decided to collapse! Therefore making me have to call the AA out..... making me stay a day longer in York (not that i didn't enjoy it... but i missed a day of work :S )....

...but to cut a long story short - my car is all fixed now! YAY!!

New plans... Hellskinky in March! Time to Party with Negative for me Birthday.... **woooohoooooo**

You know there is never enough hours in the day!!
Finally finished sorting out my MP3's, though i had to move my vids off my laptop as i run out of room yet again!! *rolls eyes*

I have my car! YAY! U know, u wouldn't believe how much i hate travelling on Public Transport - i prefer the comfort of my own car!

HUNTING HAS FINALLY BEEN BANNED!! (i think it is a cruel sport and its about time!!)

If you haven't noticed yet, I've added a new page with links to all my gig photos.....
...I've only put the last years photos on at the moment, and i should add older ones soon!!

So i have The 69 Eyes, Uniklubi, Negative, Ocean Colour Scene, 18 Visions and U2 coming up soon!
I really cannot wait to go to Helsinki again, i really would have stayed there last time if i could have! Might have to get some Wodka again!! *wink*

Lots of plans as normal!
I wouldn't survive otherwise.....

*thinks* hmm... wonder where Mina is....

Tuesday 22nd February

Yay! We have had a little snow, and we are expecting some more.

Do you ever think "what the hell am i doing?"
I've been thinking that recently.... but you know, i am doing what i promised my mother back in 2000.
*sing like no-ones listening, dance like no-ones watching, Love like you've never been hurt and Live life like there is no tomorrow*
Well i don't do all of that all the time... but i do try to live my life and have no regrets. And i don't have any regrets... but some times i do wonder what i am doing and where my life is going.
I mean this year, so far...Japan, Helsinki, Milan this weekend and then a few places around the UK as well. Total madness.
Thank you to The Rasmus i suppose.. its all about the madness!!  I do love the guys, well maybe love is the wrong word, i don't know them "that" way to love them as such, maybe i should say i love their music, and more to the point i love their music performed live.  There's something about it that captivates you..something you can relate to, and not just in the words, but it the music and melodies as well. Its like a complete package, and you rarely, well me anyway, rarely find anything that appeals to me on all levels. And of course they are cute guys to look at - thats always an added bonus!!
To quote them: "I don't know where my destinys taking me" - because i don't.  There's lots i would like to happen, i have lots of dreams (some are really strange!!) but all i can do is aim to them. I would really like to be able to sit down with members of The Rasmus and discuss their music, realistically, i would love to work with them - possibly on a tour, but of course, one can dream!!

**Meh....**

I actually think its time i could do with someone special in my life. But who? I've given up looking for someone who likes me for me... maybe i am getting stubborn in my old age! But where have all the good guys gone?
Maybe i will meet someone in Milan this weekend, maybe i will meet someone in Helsinki.....
....maybe i won't. Maybe i've already met them and we both don't know it yet.

Anyway....101 things to do....101 places i haven't been yet. I would really like to do america this year.

But first - i better pack for this weekend! YAY!

Thursday 10th March

What a night last night! OMG it was just brilliant!
Me, Lynn and her friend Rick went to Brighton to see The Wonder Stuff.
The show was absolutely packed out and there was two support bands - one of them was called "Amsterdam" who were from Liverpool. They were very funny!
TWS came on... and i haven't seen so many "middle-aged" people in a "mosh pit" before - it was just hilarious!
They played the favs - "30 years in the bathroom" "mission drive" "Don't let me down, Gently" "Radio Asskiss" to name a few!

The dates they are doing are:

Wednesday 9th – Brighton Concorde 2
www.concorde2.co.uk - 01273 772 770

Thursday 10th – London Forum
www.meanfiddler.com - 08701 500 044

Friday 11th - St Alban Arena

Saturday 12th – Sheffield Leadmill
www.leadmill.co.uk - 0870 010 4555

Sunday 13th – Wolverhampton Civic Hall
www.wolvescivic.co.uk - 01902 552 121

I'll try and get a complete setlist tonight... as i am off to London for the next gig!
I've uploaded some photos, they can be found here:

Hope you enjoy.... party time!!

Not long till the 69 Eyes UK tour as well.. i am sooooo looking forward to it! 6 dates! Bring it on!

Friday 11th March

Woah! Another update! U can just tell i have time off work!!

The gig last night at the Forum in Kentish Town (London) was quite good, though not as good as the night before in Brighton.  Bigger venue, that wasn't full enough.... and a lot of total *wankers* who just wanted to jump around and hit people.... not like the "mosh pit" the night before, where people apologised if they hit you too hard.

The setlist was:
Intro
Escape From Rubbish Island
On The Ropes
Ruby Horse
Another Comic Tragedy
You Dont Know Who You're Fucking With
30 Years In The Bathroom
Better Get Ready For A Fistfight
Was I Meant To Be Sorry
Here Comes Everyone
Circle Square
Donation
Bile Chant
Piece Of Sky
Dont Let Me Down Gently
Radio Ass Kiss
A Wish Away
Poison
10 Trenches Deep

Mission Drive
Redberry Joytown
Unbearable/Give Give Give
Room 410.

Its really good to hear some of the older songs, though i would love to hear "Golden Green" live, since it has always been one of my favs. I managed to get myself on front row and a setlist - great stuff!! Add them to Miles' plectrum i got the night before.

I'm really enjoying this tour so far, just a shame a "certain" someone doesn't get in touch anymore, he'd be so jealous! :P

Shit happens!! lmao... right, off to get a map for tonights venue location. Back down London way again! *prays the traffic isn't as bad today*

Ohh... you should get ur asses on the Stuffies forum... www.room512.com Its great!!

Saturday 12th March

It was the best gig so far last night! St. Albans - you officially ROCK!!  The crowd was good, the band were on form, the drinks were flowing and the mosh pit was great!
I'm sure i took a few people out when i went arse over tit! Yay!

I got some classic photos as well, which have been added to the photo section, as have some from the night before as well.

Got a few developed today aswell.. smart!! :D

Well, gotta run, Sheffield tonight and i am driving...

Sunday 13th March

Last nights gig was brilliant! A little more bruised than normal.  I'm really enjoying proping the bar up these days!! It all started in Japan really... its a nice change not to be front barrier! I would even say it can make the concert more enjoyable!

The mosh pit was a bit too much for me last night, and this nice bloke let me go in front of him in the gig... and he stopped me from getting so squashed! Bless him!
It really was a good crowd there last night (I'm talking about The Wonder Stuff gig in Sheffield) :D

A bit depressed its the last gig tonight, but i am sure there will be more. I'd love to go to some of the US dates, but i think i will do a Finnish Festival instead.  There's one that is looking promising at the moment, but i don't know.  I'm going to wait until more festivals are announced.

And... its my birthday soon *ewww* another year older. At least i will get cheaper car insurance soon!! Thats definately a plus point!!

I'll leave it today with these lyrics:

I'm white as the whites of my eyes
A legacy too long to feel strong in these times
Is it mine
Can I share it with you
Would you share it with me

We're caught in a war that's closer to suicide
As white as the whites of my eyes
As black as the souls we disguise
Here and all exactly as you find us
A smoke screen has been employed
Here's a close up try not to choke up
Meanwhile I wish us all luck

This history's no mystery to me
It comes to my mind we'd be better off blind in these times
Where everyone counts
Don't count no one out

I'll shoulder some blame if it eases the pain at all
As white as the whitest of lies
The Wonder Stuff - Whites

Wednesday 30th March

OMFG what a weekend!! I have just had the time of my life in Helsinki!!

It really is the most gorgeous place in the world!!

xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

xml:namespace prefix = o />

xml:namespace prefix = o />

xml:namespace prefix = o />

xml:namespace prefix = o />

Spent four days in Helsinki and travelled upto Seinäjoki to see Negative in concert.

We sort of had a “mini-road trip” as it was a 4 hours drive up there from Helsinki.

On the first night, we went out and got rather drunk and as we were walking back to the hotel around 5.30am in the morning I managed to see the Northern Lights!!!  They were absolutely beautiful! I am so happy I’ve finally got to see them!! And I did.. in my drunken state, manage to take a photo or two.

Got to see some of the sites in Helsinki, and we went out to lunch and checked out a place recommended by Lauri – called Nerone’s.  It was a nice little Italian place… and the food was lovely! Great answer to a hangover!!!

On the way back into the center, we walked straight past Jussi69… it was mad! We also bumped into Bazie from the 69 Eyes… and even Mikko!

At the Negative gig… it was great! It was in a school hall in the back of beyond! But it really was a lovely place!

The support band was called “Smak” and they were like a younger version of The Rasmus (back from when they were like 16) they were so sweet!!  I really liked their style!!

Negative were brilliant!! Though a little pissed!! They still managed to rock.. if soaking the audience with water… lol

Also bumped into one or two people I knew, which was madness being I was in the middle of Finland!! Lol

I honestly didn’t want to come back – I just love finland so much and the whole lifestyle there (Complimentary peanut moment)…very tempted to move!!

Back to work… 69 Eyes soon! I cannot wait!! Oh the excitement!!! Mwhahaha!!!!

Wednesday 27th April

What a mad couple of weeks yet again!!

After Finland, i had a very nice few days in Stockholm...and bumped into a friend while there! Brilliant!!

It was very cold there, but yet again, we had nice weather... the sun was shinning all the time and we got to see the sights!

Managed to see The 69 Eyes again - they rocked!! I cannot wait until Finland in June now....!!!

*yawns* tired! O.o

Night!

Monday 16th May

well.. if you cannot guess, i never went to "the friends birthday, hen night and babysitting" ....well i done the babysitting, but the rest of the time last weekend i was in Finland - yes, as lynn and others have said - I CRACKED!!
I booked a last minute flight, got the friday off work and pissed off to finland for a weekend!! Boy am i glad i went! It was just total madness!!!

Arrived there around midday on the friday, dumped stuff at the hotel and went out on a little boat ride to the Suomiilina (sp?) island.. it was so pretty there! We had a great laugh, and there are some dodgy photos.. i'll have to get them sorted!! Then we went back to the hotel, chilled out and had a few drinks, then we went out for a meal, to the Restuarant that Lauri recommened back in March... it was quite a walk, but the venue for Uniklubi was only the next street over, so it wasn't too bad! I seriously love the SpagBol they serve there!
So after we had finished eatting.. and a few more drinks.. we made our way to the venue for Uniklubi. The venue was "Nosturi" - it was very nice there, i could easily see The Rasmus playing there! The sound quality was brill!!
Uniklubi seriously rocked! I loved them... <3

Then after they had finished playing and the gig was over, we made our way to "On The Rocks" on the otherside of town to see Jussi from The 69 Eyes DJ-ing... We managed to get to the club around midnight and it was still rather empty, but it soon filled up!!

Bumped into a few people we knew... seen Mikko, Bazie, Johnny and around half hour later, Uniklubi themselves turned up as well!! Got Jussi to play us some Wednesday 13.. and he had us all "walking like a zombie" again.. hehehe... and he played some MCR too.. it went down really well!!
Me and Lynn spoke to Mikko and Jussi right at the end of the night, bless them both.. so sweet. Jussi was being a complete darling and gave me and lynn a red rose each!

I think we finally left the club somewhere after 4am!! Still totally hyper... we were literally round the corner from our hotel so we went and crashed for about 5 hours.

Which is when of course, we had another *Mad Moment* and decided to hire a car to take us to Turku to see Uniklubi the next night..
..and so we did!!

We chilled out what was left of the day in Helsinki, then consulted the maps and drove to Turku. We arrived there around 6pm, sorted ourselves out ready for the gig and went and found a local pub to chill out in. Found a really nice Irish Bar (as u do) and got the drinks in. 3 members from Uniklubi walked in about 20 minutes later (bizarre!) and then we headed to the gig in time for them to come onstage!

Afterwards was the funniest thing since Japan!! (The Rasmus in Japan that is!!)
Uniklubi done a meet and greet... and they were stood behind a food counter! OMG, we nearly died laughing.. they looked so cute and we were really tempted to go up and order some food!! (But since only two of them speak english, i don't think they would have got it!!).... but they were very sweet! I got a setlist signed, which was cool :D And a photo with all of them! Result!

After we left the venue, we made our way back to Helsinki, to our favourite watering hole and stayed there until the sun started coming up, at which point i had to make my way to the airport for my flight home!!

So overall.. a mad weekend and very few hours sleep!! Rock On!!

And now its only 4 weeks and 3 days until i go back to Finland... mwhahahahaha.. and it will be to see The Rasmus! OMG! I am so excited.. seriously i cannot explain how much i have missed seeing them (Ok, i know i seen them in Feb, and i seen lauri in April.. but he wasn't performing so that one is different!!)... oh heck, i blame lauri!! lol.. originally i wasn't going to do any of the Finnish Festivals, and then after seeing his happy little face in April, especially how excited he seemed when he talked about the festivals.. i just couldn't miss them!! bless him!!
All i am going to say.. is "Entwine"... all will be clear when the Rasmus' new album is released! hehehe...

And seeing Negative and The 69 Eyes - i cannot wait for that either!
I wonder how the eyes are doing in Japan at the moment... i bet they are doing well!!

Well.. i better do something productive with my day, since i am not in work.. mwhahaha

Wednesday 18th May

Morning!
How ill am i? Extremely!

I can't hear properely... i've nearly lost my voice.. and i have an extremely sore throat, headache and regular nose bleeds!! YAY! Lucky me!
This is what happens when i don't go away for a weekend... as u can guess, last weekend, i stayed in.. had nothing to do... no where to go, and this happens.
So i am off work for a week... just wanting to stay in bed.

But today, i have my Inaugration ceremony.
you see i am part of a volunteer group called "Bridgend Youth Council" and our aim is to make our local area, better for people our age! (14-25)
We work with our local councils and get to help make this a better place and to get around some of the "stereo type behaviour" the adult world puts us all into.
This year, i have been voted as Mayoress, and today i get inaugrated in the same ceremony as the official county mayor, and i think we are the only county that do it so far.
So i have my outfit ready, my speech all prepared (what i can talk that is!!)

So now.. .to have a bath, make myself look..slightly..alive!!
Jayne

Thursday 18th May

Its a good day!! New Rasmus album is coming out on September 12th! (my sisters birthday for those who care!)

Its called "Hide from the sun" and i cannot wait!! I'm so excited! Hopefully it will be very gothy! and definately suits the "goth" kinda thing with a name like that! I'm liking already!!

And the first single will be out August 29th.. which means, they will play new songs at Ankkarock!! Bring it on!!!

I knew when i talked to lauri about the album that it would be good.. i cannot wait to hear the lyrics, they should be beautiful!!!

Anyway, calming down...
I'm still very ill.... i had to do the Inaugration Ceremony yesterday.. a speech and everything. It nearly killed me! But i done it.. and i got told i was very confident and put myself across well.
Yay! Thats something good then!!

I think i will go back to bed now though!!

Saturday 21st May

....and its been over a week now and i am still not very well.
I cannot work out if i am better than i was, or the same. hmmm!!

Eurovision tonight and yes, u guessed it.. like normal, the UK didn't score much, but its something i have come to expect, that is why i don't really care much for watching it.

As you can tell i am rambling tonight....

...I'm very excited about seeing The Rasmus in Himos. Well, not just the Rasmus really.. but the whole week or 10 days i will be in Finland.... i just love the place! Seinäjoki really is a special place in my heart, such a lovely little place! And i cannot wait to meet up with my friend Jarkko, he's so sweet bless him - what i would class as a typical Finn. (very nice and very sweet)
I'm also looking forward to visiting Tampere and Turku again, they are both good places, but Tampere is home of Vampires!! hehehe And of course, not forgetting Helsinki...
......last time i went, for the Uniklubi gig and Jussi69 DJing at On The Rocks... i remember i was sat on the bus from the airport to the city centre and the only thought i had in my head was "I'm home..." strange yes.. but thats the thought i had! It really did feel like it though.. a bit of a warm fuzzy feeling.. that i've not had since i was young, like a missing part had been put into place. Its quite like "that" hug all them months ago.....

Speaking about "the" hug all those months ago, and the most recent one... I've been watching all my Rasmus tour vids and remembering back to August from the Glasgow gig. Such strange stuff happened back then, and i still cannot believe i predicted it. Those were the days... and i can see them coming again in a few weeks!! Just like before...

....bring it on!!

I love the calm before the storm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

**Meh.. the illness!!**

Jxx

Tuesday 24th May

.........well are we?
..oh? 3 weeks yet? I have to wait??
.......oh, ok!!
------------------------------------------------------

Randomness is such a wonderful thing! I found out this evening i know someone with the same surname as me - isn't that just wierd! There has to be a relation somewhere along the generations.. but who can tell where??

I'm sat here in the wee hours listening to the rain on my window. Its such a calming and relaxing sound, it could almost be called poetic. I want to open my window so that i can hear it better, but i know that its going to be cold outside and i know if my cat hears me open the window, she will cry outside it all night.... and i do intend on sleeping tonight.

I've been very relaxed tonight, or tried to between the fits of coughing - i still have this Laryngitis... and its not shifting as easily as i wish it would. I was thinking back to last year.... i was ill around this time too. However it was strange - Chicken Pox - the first time for me to ever get it in my life :S
It seems to me, end of May/beginning of June.. when the weather starts to change, and the days get warmer, i come down with something nasty. Sometimes i don't think i was ever cut out for the hot weather, unless its one or two weeks a year when i can just sun myself and do a bit of swimming on a warm beach somewhere. I prefer the cold....

...i was contemplating writing loads tonight, but my mind has gone suddenly blank! lmao!!

I have a very pretty sandstorm next to my computer... i bought it in Croatia last summer... .i remember i got one each for my nieces and one for myself. It reminds me of my childhood days, because my mother used to have a blue one.. and i had wanted one for ages.. but i couldn't find any here!
If you are wondering what i am on about when i say "Sandstorm"... its like a picture frame that you can see through both sides, with tinted glass in it. And inside the glass is sand - light and dark sand... some of it is very fine and it glitters slightly. So when you turn it upside down on its stand, it creates a type of egg timer thing.. where the sand falls through the small amount of air bubbles that are inside it... creating pretty patterns and makes it look like cascading sand dunes...
... i know some people might say "how sad" or "how childish"... my answer is, Yeah... so what?? It brings back a lot of memories for me, keeps them alive and fresh in my memory. Back to a time and place that no longer exists and cannot exist.. apart from in my memory.

So with the sound of the rain and my little "sandstorm picture frame" I'm all happy.. **cough**
... and now i must sleep! ;)
Goodnight
