The youth centre has recently been awarded a £4000+ grant from The Big Lottery Fund "Awards for all"  to facilitate a fitness and healthy lifestyle activity programme for young people aged 7 - 14 years living in the Lorne/Pilrig areas of Leith. The new project named the Pilmeny Sporting Club, in partnership with qualified coaching instructors from local Redpath Albion Boys Club, will allow local children to take an active part in non traditional sports and fitness. A strong emphasis of the sports project will be to promote fitness and healthy living, and give young people who may have restricted access to out of school fitness and sports activity, the opportunity to participate in 'taster' sessions in non-traditional sports. Children aged 7-8years are welcome to come along on Tuesday
