Feigenbaum number is calculated by comparing the length of parts of the tree between the divisions/bifurcations. This constant is of universal character and appears in many situations ranging from fluid-flow turbulence, electronic oscillators, chemical reactions, and even the Mandelbrot Set. It is said that, when Mitchel Feigenbaum found this constant he phoned home and told his Mother it would make him famous.
