Chirk Lodge 6352 was formed on 5th November 1927 (perhaps they weren’t invited to the bonfire) with one DJ Lodwick,an International referee,as one of the founders,at the Hand hotel.
Bro Ben Innes was G.P.at the time. As with many Buff Lodges of the time, Chirk Lodge was designed to meet the needs prevalent i.e., the comfort and care of dependents of good and worthy brethren who lost their lives, usually from accidents in the local coal mines which were dotted around the area. All these mines have now long since disappeared and the benevolent needs not so necessary. In January 2003, Chirk amalgamated with the Ceiriog Lodge 8748 to form the Chirk Ceiriog lodge 6352, a move which I am sure, safeguarded the future of both Lodges. The Lodge is under the capable stewardship of Bro Frank Maddocks R.O.H., as City Secretary with many Past Provincial Grand Primo’s as members.These are:- Bro’s Ryland Jones R.O.H.,1978, Ivor Morgan R.O.H.,1980 (also P.G.P.
