Me Me Me! Richard Sanderson- an early version of my site (I thought I'd deleted it) notable for some links to audio and video streams I'd probably rather forget. Richard Sanderson- an interview/chat with my old friend Mark Spybey. Richard Sanderson- me as "Guest of the Month" on the PRS Foundation website (between Billy Bragg and Joby Talbot) The Best of South East London Transpontine Scott Wood and Neil Gordon-Orr's admirable attempt to reflect the extraordinary array of underground cultural activity in this area. Kev Hopper- sampler, saw, bass guitar, Deptford resident- and a few provocative statements too. Entertaining and well written. Skeptics in the Pub -A wonderful break from the world of credulous nonsense. In a pub in Borough. Allodi Accordions Biggest accordion shop in Europe, and about five minutes walk from my house! -I stand by the window and drool. The Dacre Arms -it's tucked away, but it's the best pub nearest to me. Wonderful. The Horniman Museum - Amazing museum in Forest Hill, with lovely gardens and an amazing collection of musical instruments Recommended Thought Rhodri Marsden- the most consistantly funny blog on the net. Wry, dry and obsessed with minutae. That wasn't meant to rhyme. Nick Cohen -for those who think Michael Moore provides the best in political thought. Nick Cohen is the genuine article, and often a bumpy ride. Wardyblog - He comments on Rhodri's blog and Harry's Place- so he's cool. I've no idea who he is but he links to this site! Polly Toynbee -mistakenly perceived as "cosy", Polly is often a more genuinely revolutionary and accurate critic of contemporary politics than many of her contemporaries. Quackwatch- Provocatively named "alternative medicine" site. Langdon Jones -Author, expert on Mervyn Peake and lover of Bracknell. View-master I love these things. How to see the world without leaving your armchair, or turning on the telly. In glorious 3D. Music Spybey Net- Mark Spybey's been a very good friend for 30 years now. An excellent site. Adrian R Shaw- Adrian's a polymath with about a hundred interesting things on the go at any time. Consume -Murray Johnston's multi-armed Glasgow outfit. Lapilli -Scott Taylor's fine "lower case" label. John White- Great British composer "Veteran Maverick" and all round nice fella. Steve Beresford -working in a dizzying amount of areas, and always exciting and entertaining. Steve's a very good bloke. scopac- scopac (cummings style lower case is deliberate) is Rob Flint, video artist, and Ticklish member. Hercules- dear pal Ben Sumner's New Orleans based Bacharach/Wilson/Webb orchestral pop project. Melodeon.net My favourite instrument. This excellent new site is ran by maestro John Spiers. Baggage Reclaim Full details of my old club (please note this is no longer updateable so some links and details are incorrect). Also includes a page on The Club Room- remember that? The Fall MES's ever changing crypto rockers. Wire 25 years of unpredictable and fascinating music. Sun Ra Crackers of course. But great music. Albert Ayler A really nice site about this genius. Radio Please let me know of any broken links... |
